My Husband’s Mistress Fed Me Bugs Chapter 13

He gave a slight nod to the assistant beside him, and the message was understood.

The DeLuca and Ricci families were in for a rough time.

I said nothing and walked straight inside.

Conrad followed.

When I emerged after changing, I heard Conrad on the phone.

On the other end, I could just make out Orion’s and Chiara’s frantic screams.

I felt nothing.

The moment he gave up on me, I had severed that tie.

“Estelle, feeling better?”

I walked to the wine cabinet and pulled out a ridiculously expensive bottle of red.

“Yes.”

“These injuries are nothing.”

I had grown up surrounded by family feuds and backroom deals.

I had suffered far worse wounds than this.

I poured Conrad a glass.

When he took it, he caught my wrist and pulled me into his arms.

“Will you give me a chance this time?”

I glanced up at him.

He lowered his head and kissed me without a moment’s hesitation.

Three minutes later, I raised a hand and gently pushed him away.

Conrad actually smiled.

“I rarely see you blush.”

I smiled back.

“And I rarely see you so gentle.”

He ran numerous businesses that operated in the shadows.

We had always been rivals.

But over the years, fate had a funny way of pulling the few of us back to the same table.
