My Husband’s Mistress Fed Me Bugs Chapter 01

My Husband’s Mistress Fed Me Bugs Chapter 01

To play a prank on me, my boyfriend’s childhood friend cut my swimsuit to shreds.

I grabbed the scissors and turned it into a daring three-piece bikini.

My hot body made every guy there stare. They couldn’t look away.

She was furious. And she waited for her chance.

On our wedding night, I was soaking in the tub when she poured a writhing mass of cockroaches into the water.

My face went white with fear.

Just as I was about to lunge for a robe, Chiara burst in with a crowd of people.

“Ha! Estelle, you’re not getting away this time!”

“Hurry, send the money! See? She’s terrified of roaches!”

They were settling bets, eyes crawling over my wet, naked body. Hungry. Disgusting.

“Holy shit, I think I just saw her tits.”

“Fuck yeah! Throw more roaches in, I want the full view.”

Rage made my chest heave.

“Orion! Where the hell are you? Get in here and throw them out!”

“I’m scared of cockroaches!”

He’s standing right outside the door. Doesn’t give a damn.

“What are you yelling for? Isn’t this what you love? Showing off for men? Go on, show them.”

“They’re just roaches. You come from nothing. Stop pretending you’re so pure.”

He was right. Just cockroaches.

So I picked up my phone. “Scour the whole city. Send me a truckload of roaches.”

“These bastards are gonna swallow every single one.”

…

“What did she just say?”

“Did she call us bastards? Did she say she’d make us eat cockroaches?”

“Is Estelle talking about me and Orion?” Chiara turned to Orion DeLuca, a smirk on her face.

Orion’s expression darkened.

“Estelle Hayes, how exactly are you going to make us eat cockroaches?”

“And you’re going to search the whole city for them? You think you own New York?”

Someone laughed along, but his gaze was still glued to my chest.

I wrapped my arms tightly around myself, trying to hide beneath the foam in the tub.

But the foam wouldn’t last. It was already starting to dissipate.

Once it did, the cockroaches would crawl in.

The men blocked the bathroom doorway, waiting for the show.

I clenched my hands, trembling with rage as I stared at Orion.

The moment my shoulder shifted, a patch of foam slid away from my chest.

I froze, not daring to move, but tears fell anyway.

Chiara walked to Orion’s side and draped a hand over his shoulder.

“Orion, you’re not allowed to help her.”

“Mike and I just made a bet. Ten million dollars.”

“I bet that you like me best, and that you won’t give a damn about Estelle for the next half hour.”

“He bet you’d cave.”

After she said that, she took Orion’s hand, her voice turning saccharine.

I clung to one last shred of hope.

I thought, this time, he would at least refuse to play her game.

But he just raised a hand and tapped the tip of her nose.

“You’ve been like this since we were kids.”

“If you keep this up, you’ll scare all the men away.”

“So you agree?”

“Of course.”

Chiara’s smile widened. “Mike, don’t forget to transfer the money.”

The men erupted.

“I’ll pay. If he doesn’t, I’ll cover it.”

“Looks like Orion cares more about Chiara than Estelle.”

“Guess I’d better start taking Chiara’s side more often.”

Chiara lifted her chin, her eyes full of contempt as she looked down at me.

I stared at Orion, my mind reeling.

He reached out and smoothed a stray lock of Chiara’s hair.

“Don’t look at me like that. Chiara is family.”

“You just married into the DeLuca family. It’s only right that you take care of her.”

“This is just a little bet. It’s not going to cost you anything.”

“Besides, everyone here already thinks of you as Mrs. DeLuca.”

Someone cut in with a laugh.

“Orion, you still haven’t told her, have you?”

“That wedding between you and Estelle was never registered with the city.”
