I Jumped With Her She Landed in My Husband’s Arms Chapter 06

Vincent walked in just as Ezra carried me out through another

door.

The second he saw me in Ezra’s arms, Vincent flew into a rage. “Stop right there! Where are you taking my wife?”

Ezra had planned to ignore him completely.

No matter how angry he was, my health was all that mattered.

But I tugged weakly on his sleeve.

There was something I didn’t want to take with me.

So Ezra stopped and turned around.

Vincent stepped forward. The way Ezra was holding me only made him angrier.

But right now, he couldn’t afford to dwell on that. Seeing how

pale I was, all he wanted was to take me into his own arms.

He reached out, but something slipped from my hand and fell

to the floor.

“This ring. I’m giving it back to you. It’s not worth anything anyway. Throw it away, I don’t care.”

“If I could, I would wish I’d never met you.”

“Let’s go.”

I used up every last bit of my strength. Then I passed out in

Ezra’s arms.

Ezra shot Vincent a look filled with burning hatred. He silently

swore he would make Vincent pay.

Vincent stared down at the floor in a daze.

Our wedding band lay there, glowing faintly.

It was just a cheap fake he’d bought on a whim.

But I’d treasured it for seven years and never taken it off.

Once, when I fell, I shielded the ring with my body before

protecting myself.

He’d laughed and called me silly when I said it was a symbol of

our love.

It wasn’t a real diamond, so it barely sparkled.

But in the dark, it burned his eyes.

He automatically reached for the wedding band on his own

finger.

Then he remembered.

He’d taken it off.

On his finger now was the promise ring he shared with Kaylee.

His mind spun with chaos.

He didn’t know where to start sorting out his thoughts.

By the time he snapped back, Ezra was gone with me.

We’d vanished without a trace.

Vincent crouched down and picked up the ring.

He stared at the direction we’d left. My cold, final words

echoed in his head.

It felt like a piece of his heart had been torn out.

He had so many questions.

Who was that man?

Why had I been so close to him?

But it was too late. I was gone.

He was about to chase after us when Kaylee rushed in,. gasping. “Oh my gosh, Vincent! I found this on the floor. Does this say she’s pregnant?”

When Kaylee saw the blood all over the floor, she could barely hide her glee and satisfaction.

Vincent froze.

He took the test report.

One glance and he kicked over the medical equipment beside

him. “Fuck! So she left me so fast because she had already

found someone else! She’s even pregnant with that bastard’s

kid!”

“Fuck you, Audrey! How dare you cheat on me!”

Vincent rarely lost his temper this badly.

He hadn’t even gotten angry when I slapped him hard enough

to make his ears ring.

He’d only thought I seemed a little like my old self.

He’d even found it interesting.

But now he was truly furious.

Earlier, he’d still hoped the man was just someone I’d hired to

act, to make him regret it.

Now he was certain that I’d gotten pregnant, locked down a rich man, and felt safe enough to leave him.

He thought hard.

The timeline meant I’d gotten pregnant before I knew who he

really was.

What did that mean?

It meant I couldn’t stand living in poverty with him.

I’d planned to leave all along. I’d gone looking for a rich man.

“Hah. Audrey, you’re wrong. No one in Yreuford is richer or more powerful than me.”

“You picked the wrong sugar daddy. You’ll regret it.”

Vincent flicked his lighter and set that eyesore of a lab report

on fire.

The flames licked his fingers, but he felt no pain.

His assistant stood at the door, too scared to come in.

“Find out who that man is. As long as he’s in Yreuford, I’ll find a way to destroy him.”

“Freeze all her bank accounts. Bar her from every activity in

Yreuford.”

He stared at the direction where I had vanished. “Audrey, let’s

see how far you can run.”

This time, he wasn’t going to go easy on me.

Traitors always had to pay.
