Don’t Be Scared, Hubby. This Is What You Wished For Chapter 07

Don’t Be Scared, Hubby. This Is What You Wished For Chapter 07

He looked like a complete wreck.

Hadn’t he been happy on that trip with Claire?

“Let’s eat.”

I ignored him, turned around, and took Ethan by the hand toward the living room.

Adrian stared at our joined hands and slammed his fist into the iron gate.

He had never seen Ethan as a real threat.

Maya told me that back when I was with Adrian, the two of us had even gone to see Ethan and said some

horrible things to him.

Adrian believed that while I was with Ethan, all those times I rejected him had only been an attempt to make

him jealous.

“Lena, you don’t even listen to me anymore?”

I shut the door, cutting off his voice completely.

That night, Ethan and I went outside to take out the trash.

Adrian suddenly rushed out from around the corner, clamped a hand around my arm, and dragged me toward

his car.

“Come home!”

“This is my home.”

I yanked my arm free and backed away, putting several steps between us.

Adrian froze, his expression darkening.

“Can you stop this already? Do you have any idea how long I’ve been looking for you?”

He shouted at me, but his voice actually cracked with emotion.

“When I got back that day and saw the house had collapsed, I didn’t even think. I ran straight inside.”

“I dug through the rubble until my hands were torn up.”

“Everyone told me you were dead. They said you’d been burned to a charred corpse.”

“I was the only one who didn’t believe them. I refused to believe you could just die like that.”

“Now I finally found you. Come home with me.”

He reached for me with all ten injured fingers, trying to pull me into his arms.

I stepped back again.

“What exactly are you trying to say?”

Adrian’s lips trembled.

“I know you’re angry about the fire. I’ll make Ryan apologize to you himself.”

“Please don’t be like this. You used to panic whenever I got hurt…”

I had almost died, and he thought an apology would make everything okay?

Ridiculous.

“Adrian, you heard what I said earlier. I never loved you.”

“You were the one who used the One Wish Willow to make me love you.”

Resentment rose in my face.

“If it weren’t for you, if that wish had never happened, Ethan and I would’ve been married years ago.”

“We might already have a child old enough to walk.”

“Impossible!”

Adrian refused to believe me.

“You’re doing this on purpose. You’re angry with me.”

“You’re jealous because I went on that trip with Claire, so you’re saying all this just to hurt me.”

“Wow. So you finally admit it wasn’t a business trip?”

His face went even paler.

“I… I didn’t cheat. Nothing happened between us…”

“I don’t remember any of the seven years I spent with you. I already signed the divorce papers.”

“Adrian, we’re already over.”

He stared at me in disbelief.

“What did you say?”

I didn’t answer.

I turned to leave.

He lunged for me.

The next second, Ethan knocked him to the ground with one punch.

“You had seven years with her, and you wasted every one of them.”

“God gave you a chance, and you threw it away. Who do you have to blame but yourself?”

“Stop bothering Lena. Come after her again, and you’ll answer to me.”

Adrian lay on the grass and spat out a mouthful of blood.

He sneered at Ethan.

“Lena loves me.”

“She only came back to you to make me jealous. What are you so proud of?”

“I will never agree to divorce her!”

Adrian didn’t believe the One Wish Willow was real.

And he refused to believe I had truly forgotten those seven years.

He moved into the house next door.

He stalked us every day like a ghost.

Whenever Ethan touched me or showed me any affection, Adrian would rush out and physically pull us

apart.

“Enough. You don’t have to get this intimate just to put on an act and make me jealous.”

He became jealous and paranoid, constantly insecure and suspicious.

He even climbed over the wall in the middle of the night because he was terrified Ethan and I might be sleeping together.

When he saw us actually sharing the same bed, he screamed,

“I won’t allow it!”

“You can’t turn this fake relationship into a real one!”

Then came the day Ethan and I decided to get legally married overseas.

Adrian crashed his car straight into the registry office.

“Lena, this isn’t funny.”

He grabbed me like a madman.

“Stop this. Come home with me.”

“I was wrong.”

“I’ll never see Claire again. I’ll send her away right now, okay?”

Security dragged him out.

When Ethan and I walked out holding our marriage certificate, Claire was still trying to hold Adrian back.

He tried to rush over to me again.

Then Claire spoke.

“The One Wish Willow is real.”

“Do you remember the wish you made on my birthday?”

“You were the one who wished for Lena to stop loving you.”

“She’s forgotten you now.”

“So why are you humiliating yourself by begging her like this?”

“She doesn’t love you at all!”
