Twelve-Year-Love With An Alpha, He Betrayed Me And Marked An Omega Chapter 07

## Nellie’s POV

The voice coming through Carrion’s phone left my mind completely blank.

After Carrion apologized to the director, he hung up with a dark expression.

He held Madeline, who was still sobbing in his arms, and looked at me with crushing disappointment.

“Nellie Vesper, I don’t even recognize you anymore.”

“How did you become so vicious? You actually tried to use your mother’s death to frame my Luna.”

“Aren’t you afraid The Moon Goddess will truly curse your mother with death?”

Madeline glanced at me from the corner of her eye, and the corner of her mouth curved into the smile of a winner.

Irina crossed her arms as well, looking smug and triumphant.

But right now, arguing with Madeline and trying to make Carrion believe me no longer mattered.

All I wanted to know was where my mother’s remains had gone.

My mother’s attending Pack Healer was a highly respected senior healer of Nightfall Pack.

There was no way Madeline and Irinda could have bribed him.

If he had pronounced my mother dead, then it had to be true.

So why could the medical center not find my mother’s remains?

I glared at Irinda and Madeline with hatred.

They must have stolen my mother’s body.

If I had not been wounded in the chest, I would have shifted on the spot and torn them apart.

They would not even leave the dead in peace.

Give me back my mother.

I grabbed the wooden tissue box from the bedside table and, with a low growl, hurled it at Madeline.

“You bitch. My mother is already dead, and just to frame me, you even desecrated her remains. Aren’t you afraid of being cursed by The Moon Goddess?”

“Give me back my mother!”

Carrion reacted quickly and raised the back of his hand to block the wooden box before it could hit Madeline in the forehead.

The box’s wooden corners were hard and sharp, and the back of Carrion’s hand swelled badly from the blow.

He stood in front of Madeline, and there was no longer any tenderness or patience for me in his eyes.

“Enough! Nellie Vesper, do you really think I’ll still believe you?”

“For the sake of the twelve years we shared, I won’t hold this against

you this time. But if there is a next time, I will lock you in the pack cellars.”

“I’ll still send you the money for Mrs. Vesper’s medical bills on time. But from now on, we shouldn’t see each other again. I don’t want my Luna to be upset.”

Madeline, however, muttered in dissatisfaction, “Honey, managing a pack isn’t easy. I don’t want you using the resources you’ve saved to care for a dying werewolf.”

Irina immediately echoed her.

“Alpha, Madeline is right. Mrs. Vesper isn’t even that sick. All those medical bills every month are just a way for them to take advantage of you.”

Carrion looked at me as if I had wounded him beyond words, then quickly lowered his head.

“No matter what, we loved each other for twelve years. Nellie Vesper, consider these medical expenses my compensation to you.”

The three of them left together.

I lay alone in the hospital bed, crying one moment and laughing the next.

Carrion, you bastard.

Do you really think I care about your money?

My mother is gone, and I’ve had enough of your hypocrisy.
