The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 12

The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 12

“Alpha King, Aurora is my fiancée. I truly intend to marry her. If I leaked those private materials at her birthday gala to humiliate her, I would only be shaming myself in front of the entire realm.”

Damian’s expression was steady and unfeigned, no trace of guilt or panic on his face. Yet after countless lies and betrayals, every word from his mouth felt untrustworthy to me.

I had been deceived by him far too many times to believe his innocence easily.

“I will prove my innocence.” Damian’s voice sank low and firm, sharp with resolve. “All digital

activity leaves a trace. Give me a computer, and I will track the electronic signal source.”

“I will hunt down the mastermind behind this scheme and make them pay with their life!”

Deeply wary of his hidden tricks, I refused to let him operate alone. I urged my father to summon two top-tier royal hackers to trace the signal alongside Damian, leaving him no room for

manipulation.

“Aurora, you doubt me?” Damian’s pupils trembled faintly. For the first time, raw hurt flashed across his unfathomable dark eyes, a vulnerability I had never seen him show before.

“Yes, I don’t trust you.” I spoke coldly, every word sharp and unyielding. “You have never earned my trust, not for a single moment.”

Damian’s fingers tightened into a fist at his side, knuckles whitening, yet he relaxed it slowly after

a brief pause.

“Fine. You are furious right now, and I will not argue with you.”

“I will clear my name and win back your trust.”

With that, Damian pulled open a laptop and began tracing the signal of the leaked private photos and videos. Streaks of green code flashed rapidly across the screen. His fingers flew across the keyboard, his whole demeanor unprecedentedly focused and solemn.

The two royal hackers worked frantically beside him, yet their speed and precision paled in comparison to Damian’s elite hacking skills. They could barely keep up with his pace.

In mere minutes, Damian locked onto the only hidden signal source buried within massive

amounts of network data.

His eyes sharpened instantly, a faint, triumphant smirk tugging at his lips. “Found it.”

All the surrounding guests and nobles craned their necks, crowding closer to the screen, waiting for the truth to be revealed.

“Who is the culprit?” My father asked in a thunderous, furious tone.

But Damian’s expression froze completely in the next second.

He stared rigidly at the final line of green code on the screen, his handsome face draining of all

color, turning ashen and livid in an instant.

Laymen could not decipher the complex code, but anyone with hacking expertise could read it

clearly-it displayed the perpetrator’s exact location, their mobile device model, and the remote

backdoor program used to hijack the gala’s projector and broadcast my private materials.

Before the two royal hackers could lean in to verify the results, Damian slammed the laptop shut abruptly, cutting off all access to the evidence.

“No need to check any further!” Damian raised his voice sharply, his tone urgent and decisive. “I already know who is behind this.”

He then snatched the two hackers’ laptops as well, blocking all possible avenues for further

investigation.

“Damian, what are you doing?” I stepped forward angrily, reaching out to retrieve the devices. “Give their computers back at once!”

Before I could touch the laptops, Damian caught my wrist firmly, holding me in place.

“There is no need to continue the investigation.” His voice dropped, heavy and obscure.

He paused for a split second, his gaze drifting subtly toward Selina, who was hiding timidly in the crowd. The fleeting glance was filled with helpless compromise and desperate protection.

Quickly, he returned his gaze to me, his dark eyes swimming with endless guilt and apology.

“The mastermind behind this scheme… is me.”

“Aurora, you were right. I did it. Every single part of this humiliation was my doing.”

He chose to bear all the blame alone, shouldering every crime for the true culprit.

But the second the words left his mouth, I had already seen through his deception and guessed the

real mastermind hiding behind his sacrifice.

“Damian, even now, after everything that’s happened, you still choose to cover for her?”
