The Ring Was Not For Me Chapter 05

“Tiffany, since we’ve broken up, don’t use our photo as your lock screen.”

“I don’t want Sarah getting the wrong idea.”

Relief washed over me. He’d only seen the lock screen.

The last thing I wanted was more drama with him.

“Okay.”

Right in front of him, I deleted the thousands of photos we’d taken over three years from the cloud. Every last one.

He once said he wanted to play a slideshow of these photos at our wedding.

That’s why I’d never been able to bring myself to delete them.

But now, there was nothing I couldn’t let go of.

After I deleted everything, Ricardo’s expression grew even darker.

“Tiffany, even if you regret this later and come begging, I won’t have anything to do with you.”

I saw the confidence on his face and smiled.

“That day will never come.”

“Ricardo, goodbye.”

Just as I was about to leave,

Mrs. Miller suddenly blocked my way. “You made a mess of this place. You think you can just leave without paying? What gives you the right?!”

Ricardo didn’t stop her, just watched coldly from the side,

tacitly approving of Mrs. Miller’s unreasonable behavior.

This bar was owned by my family. I had already informed the manager that all

expenses for this room were to be waived.

But they just had to make a scene.

“Come on, making her pay is just cruel. We all know she’s broke.”

“Forget it, let me get the bill this time.”

Sarah pulled out a card and called a waiter over.

The waiter bowed respectfully.

“The manager has instructed that all charges for this room are on the house.”

Ricardo looked at Sarah, surprised.

“You know the owner here too?”

After a quick search on her phone, Sarah announced, “It turns out this bar has a partnership with Stark Medical. It must be because of my uncle.”

I couldn’t help but laugh.

“A Vice President of Sales doesn’t have that much pull.”

Sarah raised an eyebrow, smug. ‘

“My uncle isn’t just any VP of Sales. The projects he brings in are worth millions.”

Ricardo’s gaze on Sarah grew even more tender. He wrapped his arm around her waist. “My Sarah is so capable.”

Dylan clapped beside them.

“Mommy is the best!”

Mrs. Miller shot me a sidelong glance.

“Some people are not only useless, they’re broke. My son was just being

charitable, taking care of you.”

“Now that you don’t have my son, let’s see how you’ll manage!”

Just then, a text from Julian came through:

Don’t move. I’m on my way.

At the same time, a waiter, pressing his earpiece, received a message and announced, “Please wait a moment, everyone. Our manager is on his way, escorting a VIP.”

Sarah excitedly grabbed Ricardo’s hand.

“Today, I’m going to expose Tiffany’s true colors to all of you.”

“A month ago, I got the contact information for her creditors. I’ve sent them all messages, and they are on their way now.”

At that moment, the main door swung open.

In walked a tall, straight-backed young man with handsome, refined features.

Julian carried himself with an untouchable, aristocratic grace, looking even more striking than he did in photos.

Sarah was dumbstruck.

She hurried forward to greet him. “Hello, I’m the one who provided Tiffany’s location. She’s right over…”

Julian and the bar manager walked past her as if she were invisible.

It wasn’t until he saw the blood on my face that Julian’s eyes turned instantly ice-cold.

“Who did this to you?”

His voice made everyone recognize him.

It was Julian Blackwood, the heir to one of Boston’s most elite families.

The man Ricardo could only dream of being was now holding a handkerchief,

gently wiping the wound on my face, inch by inch.

“Tiffany! Who told you to get so close to him!”
