The Gaming God Hated Clingy Girls Until He Met Me Chapter 09

The touch of his fingers vanished from my lips, replaced instantly by something infinitely softer and devastatingly intense.

The sudden lack of oxygen made my knees buckle, and the moment my pinned arms were released, I instinctively wrapped them tightly around Ethan’s neck.

The pink metal ribbon accent on my dress was crushed right between us, pressing uncomfortably into my

chest.

In the next second, his burning palm slithered down to that exact spot, making my entire body shiver.

His grip tightened, and the metal ribbon snapped into pieces right in his hand. A soft whimper escaped my throat, tears pricking the corners of my eyes.

Ethan pulled back just an inch, leaving me slumping weakly against his chest muscles, desperately gasping

for air as my tongue felt completely numb.

Was this merciless, suffocating kisser seriously the same cold, unreachable Ethan Sterling I knew?

“Ethan,” I panted for what felt like an eternity before I could finally assemble a coherent sentence. “Don’t you

absolutely hate cute girls?”

He wrapped his arm firmly around my waist, gently sweeping the stray hairs away from my damp forehead.

“Who told you that?”

“You admitted it yourself! Audrey showed me the video from your team’s Truth or Dare game. If you despise

girls like me, why are you kissing me?!”

The sheer frustration made tears finally spill over, but he leaned down, tenderly kissing each teardrop away.

“Lily, I have never once hated you.”

I blinked, my exhausted brain struggling to process his words.

“So… you’re saying you don’t think I’m one of those annoying cute girls?”

Ethan let out a soft, low chuckle, his gaze dropping to my slightly swollen lips, his meaning crystal clear. “No.

You’re incredibly sweet.”

“I won’t deny that I said those words back then. But Lily, that was before I ever met you.”

I swallowed my sobs. “You don’t hate me?”

“No,” he murmured against my skin. “I’m crazy about you.”

I stared at him through blurry, tear-filled eyes, feeling even more wronged. “If you like me, why are you bullying me like this? I literally couldn’t breathe.”

Ethan suddenly scooped me up into a flawless bridal carry, continuing up the remaining flights of stairs.

“I’m not bullying you; I’m adoring you. You’ve wanted to kiss me for a long time now, haven’t you? I’m just making your wish come true.”

I was completely stunned by his shameless ability to twist reality. “You’re a literal predator.”

Ethan’s voice was soft enough to melt steel.

“I wouldn’t dare claim the title. I think a certain little girl who was eyeing my body from the moment we met

deserves that name much more.”

My jaw dropped in pure shock.

So… Ethan had known everything from the very beginning. Every single one of my shameless, dirty thoughts

about him…

No matter how thick-skinned was, I couldn’t handle this level of exposure. Blushing furiously, I buried my face deep into his chest.

“Lily, I’m actually curious. Are you this bold with every guy you find attractive?”

“Of course not!” I mumbled defensively against his shirt. “Most of the time, guys are the ones chasing me,

okay?”

“What about that frat god? Did you actually call him ‘hubby’ too?”

Well, definitely not to his face. But when I was messing around in group chats with my best friends, I might

have talked some trash.

Feeling guilty, I quickly changed the subject. “Ethan, I’m hungry.”

Ethan fished the room keycard out of my pocket, unlocked the hotel door, and gently placed me down on the

plush mattress.

A wicked smile played on his lips. “What a coincidence, Lily. I’m starving too.”
