The $100 Humiliation- Watching My Broke Ex Stare at My Billionaire Husband Chapter 03

When we got together, Pierce really was the perfect boyfriend.

He got all the money Lynn had scammed from him back and transferred it straight to my card.

Before I graduated college, he showered me with gifts and surprises every day.

After graduation, he pulled strings to get me into his company and mentored me one-on-one.

At a young age, I have a lot of resumes that my predecessors can’t reach.

During the day, we are superiors and subordinates.

By night, we were just a normal couple— living together, hugging, kissing.

He had insane stamina. He always left me dazed.

When we were intimate, he loved biting the mole on my earlobe, kissing my eyes, and burying his face in my chest to breathe afterward.

I had a hard time getting pregnant, and Pierce loved the thrill, so he never wore condoms.

In the heat of the moment, he’d whisper to me.

“Baby, give me a baby. Only you.”

“Our kid’ll be as sweet as you.”

I held him and believed every word.

I thought we’d be like this forever.

Until the day I found out he had a fiancée.

I went to the hospital for a checkup and found out I was pregnant.

I was panicked and overjoyed. I didn’t waste a second— I grabbed the report and ran to Pierce’s office.

My hand was just about to touch the doorknob when I heard voices inside.

“So you didn’t tell Lila you have a fiancée?”

I froze.

I pressed my ear gently to the door.

Then I heard Pierce speak casually.

“I don’t even like her. It’s just an arranged marriage— my parents set it up.”

His friend asked, “Aren’t you gonna fight it?”

Pierce laughed, indifferent.

“Why bother?”

“Being with someone from the same class is just how it works. You don’t actually think I’d end up with someone poor like Lila, do you? I’m just having fun.”

“Besides, I’m not ready to settle down yet.”

“My fiancée and I agreed— we see other people before marriage. As long as no one gets pregnant, anything goes.”

“Lila’s obedient and quiet. I feel bad for her, so I don’t mind keeping the act up.”

His friend teased. “You used to swap girlfriends every week. This is the first time you’ve stuck around this long. I thought you changed.”

“But I get it. Lila’s face is so innocent and pretty. I’d keep her around too, spoil her a little.”

“You mess around so much, though— you not worried about getting her pregnant?”

Pierce laughed. “Why worry? If she does get pregnant, I’ll just pay her off and break up.”

“Poor people are easy. They’re short-sighted. A little hush money and they won’t bother you.”

My head spun. I almost collapsed.

I stared down at the pregnancy test in my hand.

It felt like a hard slap across the face. My cheeks burned.

My hand on the doorknob slowly fell.

That night, I didn’t go home. I hid in a hotel and cried for hours.

I thought— I really must have fallen hopelessly in love with him.

Otherwise, why would I hurt this bad?

I loved him. But I hated him too.

I thought: Why?

Why does he get all the control?

Why can he pick me up and drop me whenever he wants?

Why does he get to decide, and I don’t?

Better he dump me than I let him. I’d end it first.

So I faked cheating on him.

When Pierce found me at the hotel, I was in a bathrobe kissing another man.

The guy was someone I’d hired.

Clothes and ripped stockings were scattered on the floor.

The bed had fake, messy stains I’d put there.

Pierce stood in the doorway, his aura ice-cold.

He smiled dangerously. “Explain this.”

The man I’d hired spoke up right away. “Mr. Pierce, we’re in love. Let her go.”

“I swear I’ll treat her well.”

Pierce didn’t even glance at him. His look was pure contempt.

“Get out. Scum like you doesn’t get to talk.”

The man turned bright red and couldn’t say a word.

I was quiet for a moment, then said slowly.

“It’s exactly what you see. I don’t love you anymore.”

“I already resigned from the company. All the money you gave me is in a card— I haven’t touched a cent.”

“Pierce, we’re breaking up.”

That night, Pierce stood on the balcony and smoked all night.

When he left, he said coldly, “As you wish.”

After that, I blocked and deleted every way he could reach me.

After the breakup, I wanted to abort the baby.

But my doctor told me I had a very low fertility rate.

If I terminated this pregnancy, I might never get pregnant again.

She begged me to think it over, not to act rashly.

I was lost. I couldn’t decide.

And so, by accident, I kept the baby.
