The $100 Humiliation- Watching My Broke Ex Stare at My Billionaire Husband Chapter 01

Two months after I broke up with Pierce, he showed up at the convenience store where I worked with his new girlfriend to buy ultra-thin condoms.

As they browsed, he turned to her on purpose.

“With so many kinds, which one feels the best? Recommend one for me.”

His girlfriend blushed and stared for a long time, unable to say a word.

He chuckled. “My bad. I almost forgot— I never wear them with you anyway. You wouldn’t have any experience.”

I kept wiping the checkout counter and said nothing.

The man smirked and looked at me playfully.

“Why don’t you recommend one?”

I froze for a second.

When I realized what he was asking, I picked up a box. “This brand has great lubrication, it’s gentle on women, and so thin you barely notice it. You can try this one.”

Pierce’s smile faded. “You sound pretty experienced.”

I said calmly, “I’ve had practice.”

He twisted the package, his tone suggestive. “Do you and your boyfriend use this one often?”

The woman next to him snickered.

“Look at the clothes she’s wearing— they’re so cheap. She probably doesn’t have a hundred dollars on her whole body.”

“This is the most expensive brand. She and her broke boyfriend couldn’t afford it. They probably use cheap ones that break easily.”

Pierce stared at my face, clearly hoping to see me humiliated.

I didn’t give him the satisfaction. I just smiled.

“Don’t worry, sir. I’ve tested every brand here. They’re all good quality. You can buy with confidence.”

Pierce’s hand froze. His face darkened visibly.

He scoffed. “Fine, I’ll take your recommendation. If it doesn’t work, I’m coming back for you.”

He paid for a box, put his arm around his girlfriend, and left.

After that day, that brand must have worked really well.

For a full week, he brought his girlfriend to my counter every single day to buy that same 0.01mm ultra-thin type.

Even my manager couldn’t help muttering. “I’ve never seen anyone do this— one box a day, five in each pack. Dude must have a high drive.”

“Rich people really know how to play. Stamina of a horse.”

“Hey, look at the car he drives— Rolls-Royce Phantom. Only a few limited editions worldwide. Must cost over ten million.”

“No wonder this area’s a famous wealthy neighborhood. Full of hidden big shots.”

“His girlfriend’s so lucky. She’s head-to-toe high-end. One accessory could pay a regular person’s wages for half a lifetime. She’s not half as pretty as you, but she’s got such a good life.”

“Wait… she looks familiar.”

“I think I saw her in your college graduation photo…”

I tensed up and stayed silent.

My manager nudged my arm curiously.

“Lila, is she really your old college classmate?”

“How did they even get together? You guys know each other— got any tea to spill?”

I didn’t answer.

I just looked down.

“No tea.”

“Manager, can I take a day off soon for a prenatal checkup?”

My manager blinked. “Sure, go ahead. Is the baby’s father coming with you this time?”

I shook my head. “No. I’ll go alone.”

My manager sighed. “You go to every checkup by yourself. Who’s the father? He’s so irresponsible.”

I pressed my lips together and said nothing.
