The $100 Humiliation- Watching My Broke Ex Stare at My Billionaire Husband Chapter 02

The whole thing was straight out of a soap opera.

The girl with Pierce was my college roommate, Lynn.

Back in school, she’d catfished Pierce online using my photos without me knowing.

Everyone knew she had a rich online boyfriend.

After all, she shows off in the dormitory every day.

She complained to me from time to time, “My boyfriend transferred money to me again. I hate it. I haven’t spent the money I transferred to me last time.”

“He’s always like this. People will think I’m gold-digging.”

When I ignored her, she’d cover her mouth dramatically and lean in. “Oh, I forgot you’re applying for financial aid. My boyfriend’s rich and spoils me. You’re not jealous, are you?”

After starting the online relationship, she replaced everything she owned with designer stuff.

Even a single meal cost nearly four figures.

Her online boyfriend had terrible insomnia and was super clingy.

Every night, Lynn put on a baby voice and chatted with him until late.

I was a light sleeper. I’d finally pass out with sleeping pills, only to jolt awake at her sudden giggles.

I wanted to say something so many times.

But I had no income, worked part-time early every morning, and felt like I owed them quiet. I couldn’t say much.

My parents divorced when I was young and both started new families. No one looked after me.

I even paid my own college tuition.

At night, I barely slept.

In the morning, I dragged myself to work.

On top of heavy classes.

Some days, I felt so tired I wanted to die.

I moved as quietly as I could.

The other roommates slept soundly.

Then Lynn would suddenly throw off her covers and yell at me.

“Working part-time before sunrise just to show off? Can’t even afford to live?”

“If you’re that poor, just drop out. Find some old guy to sugar-daddy you. Why act like this?”

I was in a hurry to get to work and didn’t argue back.

I worked at a café.

A good-looking guy ordered the most expensive drink, rested his chin in his hand, and stared straight at me.

He wore an all-black trench coat, his eyes slightly upturned at the corners, a beautiful amber color. He looked relaxed and distant.

He was so striking— even better-looking than the hottest idols. The second he walked in, everyone noticed.

Quite a few people secretly took photos of him.

I couldn’t help sneaking glances too.

When I set his coffee down, he left a tip and smiled at me, his voice lazy.

“Baby, working this hard?”

“Why are you here so early? I send you so much money every day. Isn’t it enough? Want me to send more?”

I froze. “When did you send me money?”

He looked confused too. He pulled out his phone, opened his photo album, and showed me.

It was filled with my selfies.

“Baby, you have a mole on your earlobe. That’s definitely you.”

“Why act like you don’t know me after flirting with me? You called me husband every night.”

His smile grew. “First time seeing me in person? Shy?”

I stared. “Those are my photos, but I don’t know you at all.”

He was stunned.

We finally put two and two together.

We realized Lynn had catfished him using my pictures.

The man was furious when he found out he’d been tricked.

He held out his hand to me. “Hi, I’m Pierce. Would you give me a chance?”

I hesitated.

He coaxed me. “Being with me will make your life so much easier.”

In that moment, I had to admit— my heart skipped a beat.

I was just so, so tired.
