Silenced Omega Chapter 21

Silenced Omega Chapter 21

Preston’s face grew darker.

The little girl who had stood in front of him, again and again, had not been Genevieve.

It had never been Genevieve.

“Camden.” His voice trembled.

“That fire eight years ago. The person who saved you… are you absolutely sure it was Genevieve?”

Camden’s expression froze.

“What do you mean? Of course it was her. When I woke up, her parents told me themselves. Genevieve saved me and got those scars on her back. She was in the hospital for weeks.”

“Did you see it with your own eyes?” Preston stepped forward. “When you woke up, was she the one standing by your bed?”

“I was unconscious for three days.” Camden frowned. “When I came to, Genevieve was there. She even showed me the injury on her back.”

“And you can tell the difference between a burn and some other kind of scar?” Preston cut him off.

The office fell silent.

Camden slowly rose to his feet.

“Preston, what the hell are you saying?”

Preston opened his mouth, but the words wouldn’t come.

The pieces were starting to connect.

If the person who saved Camden wasn’t Genevieve…

If the person who saved him wasn’t Genevieve either…

Then for all these years, what had they been torturing Laney for?

Just then, Preston’s phone rang.

It was the leader of the hunters he had sent after Archer.

“Mr. Doyle, we have the targets cornered at West Ridge cliff. Archer is badly injured, and the woman has been shot. They have nowhere to run. They’ll have to jump.”

“From that height, with the reefs below, their chances of survival are slim to none.”
