Pregnant I Took a Bar Job and Heard My Husband Say He Gave Me 400000 Monthly Chapter 07

The screen showed every purchase I had made over the past month.

Most of my spending had been at the discount grocery store beneath our apartment building and the convenience store on the corner. Almost none of the individual purchases exceeded ten dollars.

Then I took out the examination report I had shown Jessica that day.

“Weren’t you the one who said I kept asking for money by pretending to be pregnant?”

“Do I need to get the doctor in here to explain these results to you?”

Jessica’s face turned pale, but she still refused to admit anything.

“These records could have been tampered with. You can’t pin this on me just because your excessive

spending has been exposed.”

I pulled up the footage from the apartment’s doorbell camera and indoor security system.

It showed Jessica directing the movers as they emptied the apartment several days earlier.

“So this footage has been doctored too, has it?”

“Did Blake know you had our home cleared out?”

“Where is it all now?”

Jessica lowered her head.

She hadn’t expected the apartment’s security system to retain cloud backups.

“She sold the handbag first. I was worried she’d start selling everything else, so I had the rest moved out

temporarily. I was protecting your property.”

Blake stared at her coldly.

“I asked you one thing. Where is everything?”

Jessica bit her lip before forcing out an answer.

“At my house.”

The irony wasn’t lost on me.

She claimed she had been trying to stop me from selling our belongings, yet she had moved our sofa,

appliances, jewellery, and collectibles into her own home.

At that moment, Jack entered the hospital room and placed a stack of documents from the investigation on

the table.

“Blake, I had the finance and security teams go through everything.”

“Over the past year, Jessica transferred nearly five million dollars out of that dedicated account.”

“The money didn’t go to Madison. It went to Jessica’s mother and younger brother. Some of it was also used to buy two luxury properties worth more than two and a half million dollars altogether.”

The documents listed the date, recipient, and purpose of every transfer. Yet in the company’s records, every

payment had been marked as part of Madison Carter’s living expenses.

Jessica had been using my name to divert the funds all along.

Jack turned to the final page.

“Madison received less than sixteen hundred dollars in total for living expenses over the whole year.”

“No wonder the doctor said she’d been undernourished for so long. I don’t know how she managed.”

Blake went through the investigation page by page, then threw the documents down in front of Jessica.

“Anything else you’d like to explain?”

Jessica knew she could no longer hide the truth.

Tears finally spilled down her face.

“I just couldn’t accept it.”

“I’ve been by your side for three years. I know you better than anyone. But you never once noticed me, and

then you went and married a woman with no career.”

“You gave her four hundred thousand dollars every month. What did she ever do to deserve any of it?”

I stared at her.

“So every time I asked to go back to work or finish my studies, you just never told Blake.”

“You kept me stuck at home on purpose, then gave me just a hundred and twenty dollars a month so you

could prove I was worthless.”

“Yes.” Jessica lifted her head. “You are worthless. Why should you get to live the life he gave you?”

Blake clenched his fists, his voice turning icy.

“And you thought that gave you the right to siphon off company funds and take things from my home?”

Jessica panicked completely.

She lunged forwards and grabbed his trouser leg.

“Blake, I’ve been by your side for three years. I know your every habit. I’m the only one who belongs beside

you.”

“I took the money. I admit it. If you divorce her, I’ll give it all back.”

I watched her cry, then calmly raised my phone and pointed the camera at her.

“So you admit it?”
