My Billionaire Husband Lost His Memory, and I Left With His Child Chapter 07

Vanessa knelt on the floor, her eyes rimmed red.

“The child and I have given everything to this family all these years. I’ve been helping him manage the family business…”

She paused, then added, “Even though we never got a marriage license, and I never had a proper wedding, I never once treated myself like an outsider.”

She lowered her head and looked at the confused little boy beside her.

“I don’t care if this family only sees me as a nanny. This child may not be related to us by blood, but I’ve long since treated him as my and Adrian’s son.”

The little boy beside her tried to comfort her. He placed his hand on Vanessa’s and called her “Mommy” in a small voice.

Mr. Whitmore turned his face away slightly.

Mrs. Whitmore took a few steps forward, bent down, and helped Vanessa up. “Silly girl. Come on, get up first.”

She kept holding Vanessa’s hand. “In my heart, you’re no different from my own daughter. No matter what happens in the future, there will always be a place for you in this family. Stay here. Don’t go anywhere.”

Tears rolled down Vanessa’s face. She turned and leaned against

Mrs. Whitmore’s shoulder.

After a long silence, Mr. Whitmore finally spoke to Adrian. “I won’t interfere with who you marry anymore. But Vanessa has to stay in this house. That is my bottom line.”

Vanessa lowered her head, and the corner of her mouth lifted slightly.

But early the next morning, Adrian had already packed our bags.

Holding my hand, he said calmly to Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore, “We’re moving out.”

Mrs. Whitmore rose from the dining table, her voice rising sharply. “Why would you move out when everything is perfectly fine? Did she say something to you?”

Vanessa also set down her bowl and blinked twice. “Adrian, did you misunderstand me?”

Adrian ignored them and led me outside.

Once we passed through the front door, he suddenly stopped and turned to look at me.

“From now on, anyone or anything that makes you uncomfortable won’t be allowed anywhere near you. I mean it.”

I stared at him, stunned.
