Alex rolled down the window, a lighthearted smile playing on his lips.

“Ms. York, what a coincidence. Where are you headed? Let me drive you there.”

I rubbed my forehead.

“Alex, this is definitely not a coincidence.”

“This is my house, and you’ve already shown up here eight times this week.”

I actually thought he was a calm and mature person.

But when this man decided to be persistent, he was surprisingly good at it.

No wonder he and Ryan were brothers.

Alex smiled and pretended to be surprised.

“Really? I didn’t realize we had run into each other that many times.”

“Ms. York, I have to say, your memory is impressive.”

Seeing that I was about to lose my temper, he immediately raised his hands in surrender.

“Vivian, don’t be angry.”

“I owe you this much.”

“This place isn’t completely safe, and you’ve refused every time my family offered to arrange bodyguards for

you.”

“Let me drive you. It’ll be safer.”

I sighed helplessly.

When I brought Ryan back, my original plan had been to use the Sterling Family’s influence to completely

break free from Adrian.

Adrian was possessive and obsessive by nature.

There was no way he would accept me disappearing without a trace.

If he tried to find me after I left, having Ryan’s support meant Adrian wouldn’t dare force his way back into

my life.

I sighed.

By then, Adrian would probably have forgotten about me.

Seeing my attitude soften slightly, Alex got out of the car and pulled out a large bouquet of roses.

“Beautiful lady, would you do me the honor of having dinner with me?”

I accepted the flowers.

Just as I was about to open the car door, another car suddenly stopped by the roadside.

The door opened.

Someone rushed out and grabbed my hand.

“Vivian, I finally found you.”

Adrian’s voice was filled with excitement.

“Come home with me, okay?”

“You said you wanted to go to Switzerland. I’ll go with you.”

My expression turned cold.

“Adrian, you found the wrong person.”

“If you want a vacation, go with your wife and son.”

“I have nothing to do with you anymore.”

I tried to pull my hand away, but he refused to let go.

“Vivian, are you still angry with me?”

“I already divorced Evelyn!”

He looked exhausted.

His jaw was covered with stubble, and dark circles showed beneath his eyes.

“Ever since you left, I haven’t been able to eat well or sleep properly.”

“Vivian, it wasn’t until I lost you that I realized how important you were to me.”

I regret everything.”
