I Smashed Their Royal Dream Chapter 05

I Smashed Their Royal Dream Chapter 05

Crack!

The smooth antique bronze mirror shattered into pieces.

Damon and Owen had no idea.

They were still hovering around Princess Catherine, doing everything they could to please her.

Damon was massaging her legs.

Owen was busy entertaining his baby sister in the cradle.

The lavish splendor of the royal residence reflected in the father and son’s eyes.

So did their excitement.

And their greed.

Damon leaned down and kissed Princess Catherine.

Finally, he couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Catherine.”

“When’s our wedding?”

They’d agreed that the wedding would take place after the baby was born.

But it had already been three days since they’d returned from the modern world after the baby was

born.

And there was still no sign of a wedding.

His wife was still waiting for them back home.

They couldn’t stay here too long.

Princess Catherine reclined lazily on the chaise lounge.

Before she could answer, a palace matron walked over and slapped Damon hard across the face.

“Who do you think you are, calling the Princess by her name?”

The sharp crack of the slap left both Damon and Owen stunned.

Someone shoved Owen away from the cradle, sending him straight to the floor.

His lower lip trembled.

He was just about to burst into tears when a fierce-looking palace matron stepped in front of him.

you dare wake the little Princess, I’ll beat your mouth bloody.”

Owen shuddered.

The cry died in his throat.

Damon stared at the woman on the chaise lounge in disbelief.

“Princess…”

“What is this supposed to mean?”

The glamorous woman simply smiled.

“According to the rules, you shouldn’t be calling me by my name.”

“The palace matrons were just following the rules.”

Damon clenched his fists at his sides.

His expression darkened.

In more than thirty years of life, this was the first time anyone had humiliated him like this.

But he didn’t dare fight back.

In this era, a human life was worth almost nothing.

He had no choice but to swallow his anger.

“Your Highness.”

“When is our wedding?”

Princess Catherine smiled.

“When did I ever say I was going to marry you?”

Damon’s eyes widened.

His mouth opened.

Then he realized Princess Catherine really had never said she would marry him.

“I only said I’d give you what you wanted.”

“And what you wanted was to stay by my side, wasn’t it?”

“A royal consort here died recently.”

“You can take his place.”

Damon bit his tongue to keep from cursing

He’d watched plenty of TV dramas with his wife, Bree.

He knew exactly what a royal consort was.

A Princess’s plaything.

A man whose purpose was to serve her.

“Oh, right.”

Her sweet voice rang out again.

“Your son can be raised in my palace too.”

“When my daughter gets a little older, he can be her playmate.”

Damon’s eyes lit up.

Right.

The baby.

“You’re not marrying me?”

“Then what, our baby is supposed to grow up without a father?”

Princess Catherine laughed as if she’d just heard a joke.

“My child has a Princess for a mother.”

“I don’t think she needs a father.”

“I only chose to have your child because I wanted the genes of someone from the future world.”

“Don’t expect anything else.”

“If you behave, you can stay here and be my royal consort.”

“If you don’t…”

“Then go back to wherever you came from.”

Humiliation after humiliation finally pushed Damon over the edge.

There was no way he was staying here as some royal consort.

Before he left, he was determined to vent his anger.

He pointed at Princess Catherine and hurled curses at her while grabbing Owen by the hand.

Before the palace matrons could rush over, he pulled the antique bronze mirror from inside his

clothes.

Whenever they crossed into another world, the antique bronze mirror back home would split into

two.

One of the two mirrors would come with them.

But the moment Damon pulled it out, he froze.

The antique bronze mirror that had once been perfectly smooth was now covered in cracks.
