I Slapped the Villain and Claimed I Was His Future Wife Chapter 03

I Slapped the Villain and Claimed I Was His Future Wife Chapter 03

The violence in his eyes faded. He stared at me in disbelief.

I kept going. “You’re allergic to shrimp. You love vanilla milk.”

I deliberately added, “After we get married, you never wear clothes when we sleep together. Your p…”

Luca shot to his feet and clapped a hand over my mouth.

His face was impossible to read as he studied me carefully.

I pried his hand away.

“And when you shower, you like to take off…”

He covered my mouth again.

I noticed his ears had turned red.

He warned me through gritted teeth, “Shut up!”

I stayed quiet.

The boy’s eyes still burned with irritation he hadn’t fully suppressed.

His lips pressed into a thin line.

That red mark on his cheek made him look even more dangerous than usual.

The villain’s face was only inches from mine, but I couldn’t stop staring.

My gaze stayed locked on him.

Luca frowned, then simply raised his hand and covered my eyes.

“Don’t look at me like that.”

“Only an idiot would believe that future-wife story.”

“But since you’re my future wife, I’ll let the slap go. I’m warning you, though. Stay away from the present-day me.”

Me: …

He really doesn’t believe me?

Did you even listen to yourself?

Luca warned me to stay away.

So I did.

I avoided him for a whole week.

During that week, I finally saw the male lead, Elias.

He wasn’t what I expected.

Elias had a clean-cut face and a gentle presence, but there was always a faint sadness in his eyes.

I watched him for a few days.

He seemed pretty normal.

He did not seem like someone with serious mental health problems.

I was stressed, trying to figure out how to stop him from wanting to end it all.

I really didn’t want to live through senior year again!

On the sports field, I sat on the side staring at Elias on the court, full of resentment.

To everyone else, my gaze probably looked anything but innocent.

Luca, wearing a basketball jersey, watched me from across the court, his face dark.

After sinking a few three-pointers, he tossed the ball to someone else and walked straight over to me.

His tall figure blocked my view.

I looked up at him.

His face distracted me so completely that I stared for three full seconds.

Then I finally said slowly, “What do you want?”

The darkness in Luca’s expression eased slightly while I stared at him.

He crouched down, still blocking my view, and asked coldly, “Why do you keep staring at Elias?”

I blurted out, “Can’t I look?”

Luca narrowed his eyes, like he was trying to figure out which words were real.

“You’re lying to me, aren’t you?”

My heart tightened.

“I’ve never seen you before. You’re not even my type.”

“So there’s only one possibility. You chased me for a long time until I finally fell for you.”

“But you have not approached me once. That is not love, and it is not the unwavering loyalty I would expect.”

“Plus, the other day my back was to you and I was sitting in Elias’s seat. These past few days you’ve been staring at him constantly. The person you actually wanted to find was never me, right?”

Luca’s analysis sent chills down my spine.

How did he suddenly get so smart!

Right. He was the villain.

The novel had established him as exceptionally intelligent and perceptive.

Luca stared straight into my eyes, not missing a single flicker of emotion.

Help!

My reader comments!

“Girl, hold on. Hold on.”

“The villain has a strange kissing habit. Before a kiss ends, he brushes his tongue across the roof of your mouth.”

“In the future, kissing becomes a daily requirement. His clinginess rivals his need for control.”

“Bedroom, kitchen, bar counter, floor-to-ceiling windows. Give him a wall, and his demand to keep your distance becomes something else…”

Huh?

Something felt off, but my mind was too tense to think about it. I just repeated what they said.

“Before a kiss ends, you like to run your tongue across the roof of my mouth.”
