I Slapped the Villain and Claimed I Was His Future Wife Chapter 02

I Slapped the Villain and Claimed I Was His Future Wife Chapter 02

I immediately tore into him. “How can you even sleep right now!”

“Because of you, I’m stuck in this damn senior year over and over, too anxious to sleep.”

“I’ve taken the SAT ninety-nine times. Every time I finally get a decent job after scraping by, you yank me back here!”

“Why do I have to suffer just because you want to die?”

“What are you looking at? If you’re sick, go to the hospital!”

“You already have the kind of life everyone dreams about. A few more slaps might wake you up.”

“You walk around like your life is already over. You’ve got a perfect wife who loves you in the future. What’s there to die for!”

Celia stared at me in disbelief.

The boy I’d slapped was ridiculously good-looking.

He had sharp, deep-set eyes and a high-bridged nose marked by a tiny mole. Despite his privileged birth, his coldness kept everyone away.

Right now, that pale, handsome face had a bright red handprint that looked completely out of place.

The boy stared at me coldly, eyes fierce.

Reader comments suddenly popped up in front of me:

“Oh my God! Girl, you just hit a villain who never forgives and will destroy everything!”

“You’re not seeing tomorrow’s sunrise!”

“Senior year on repeat, low-paying office work, and every kind of bad luck. Anyone would snap.”

“But that’s not the male lead! That’s the villain, Luca Vescari!”

My heart sank.

Luca was a beautiful, powerful, and tragic villain.

He came from the Vescari Family.

Rich, influential, and heartbreakingly handsome.

But his parents were two cold-blooded psychopaths forced into an arranged marriage meant to unite the Vescari and Bellucci families. They felt only disgust and resentment toward Luca, the child born from that loveless union.

They tormented him from childhood.

In the novel, Luca displayed severe antisocial traits, starved of love and almost entirely without empathy.

Later, he entered the Family business as the Vescari heir.

He showed no mercy.

No one in all of Ravenport dared mess with him.

As a background character, I only knew the names of the main characters and key side characters.

I had never interacted with them or had any scenes.

I had no idea what they looked like, except for Celia, who later became an actress.

Facing Luca’s dark, threatening gaze, I stepped back in fear.

He looked at me, his voice as cold and final as a death sentence. “You dared to lay a hand on a Vescari. Have you thought about the consequences?”

Coming from anyone else, it might have been an empty threat.

But Luca never bluffed.

What do I do? What do I do?

My brain spun wildly, trying to come up with an excuse.

The reader comments seemed to hear my panic and started throwing out ideas:

“The villain is crazy, but once he claims someone, not even a Family oath can change his mind.”

“Girl, quick, say you’re his future wife. Survive today and explain the timeline later.”

“Yeah, go with that. Better than admitting you hit the wrong guy and slapped the Vescari heir.”

Following their suggestion, I swallowed my nerves and spoke like I was completely in the right. “So what if I hit you? I’m your future wife!”

“In the future, you beg me to hit you!”

Luca gave a cold laugh. “Are you insane? My wife? You?”

“You think I’m stupid?”

“Ivy, here’s a secret. The villain has a scar high on his inner thigh, he’s allergic to shrimp, he loves vanilla milk, and he sleeps naked.”

These reader comments were exactly what I needed.

With their help, my voice stayed steady.

I said calmly, “You have a scar high on your thigh.”

Luca’s expression changed instantly.
