He Took Me For Weak And Helpless Chapter 18

He Took Me For Weak And Helpless Chapter 18

Three days passed, and Summer was completely trapped inside the private estate.

The doors and windows were locked tight, and even getting close to the balcony was enough to have her

stopped cold.

Adrian barely left her side. Even when he worked, he kept her caged in his arms, gentle in a way that felt

twisted, possessive in a way that was suffocating.

She stopped eating and drinking, using silence as her only form of resistance.

Adrian would sit there with a bowl in his hands, coaxing her with endless patience. If she still refused, he

would grip her chin and force the food into her mouth.

“Summer, don’t push me to be even crueler than I already am.”

She looked at him with nothing but coldness in her eyes. “The day you let me go is the day I’ll start living

again.”

That evening, a sudden commotion broke out outside the villa.

A bodyguard hurried in and reported, “Mr. Carter, Ethan Shaw forced his way in. He says… he’s here to take

Ms. Hayes away.”

A violent menace instantly surged off Adrian.

He lowered his eyes to Summer and said in a dark voice, “See? The man you’ve been thinking about finally

came here to die.”

Summer shot to her feet. “Adrian, don’t touch him! This has nothing to do with him!”

“He’s trying to take what’s mine, and you’re telling me it has nothing to do with him?”

He grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her downstairs to the living room.

The front door was shoved open. Ethan stood there looking disheveled, a bruise darkening the corner of his

mouth. It was obvious he’d fought his way in.

The second his eyes landed on Summer, his entire body tensed. “Summer! Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. Go, now. You can’t win against him!”

Ethan took a step forward, his gaze steady. “I’m not leaving. I’m getting you out of here today.”

Adrian yanked Summer behind him and looked down at Ethan with cold contempt.

“Ethan, I gave you a chance to walk away alive. You chose not to take it.”

This is unlawful imprisonment, Adrian! She doesn’t love you anymore. Locking her up by force will only make her hate you more!”

“She’s my wife. She’ll spend the rest of her life by my side. Take one more step, and you’ll walk in here on

your feet and leave on a stretcher.”

“You wouldn’t dare.”

“Try me.”

Ethan knew brute force wouldn’t work. He looked at Summer, softening his voice. “Summer, I already called

the police. Just hold on a little longer. They’ll be here soon-”

“The police?” Adrian lifted a hand, and the bodyguards immediately rushed forward, pinning Ethan down.

“You think you can save her? All you’re going to do is get her hurt.”

Summer went cold with fear. She rushed forward and clutched Adrian’s arm.

“Adrian, please, let him go! I won’t run. I won’t hide. I’ll stay with you. I’ll do whatever you want. Just don’t hurt

him!”

She was terrified.

She was terrified Adrian would lose control and actually kill Ethan.

Adrian’s body went rigid, and he slowly turned to look at her.

Seeing her beg so humbly for another man made something inside his chest clench so hard it almost split

him open.

The thing he hated most was watching her lower herself for someone else.

“You’re begging me for him?” His voice came out low and shaking.

“Yes. I’m begging you. If you let him go, I’ll do whatever you say.”

Adrian violently shook off her hand, and Summer stumbled backward and fell to the floor.

“Good. Very good. Since you care about him so much, that’s exactly why I can’t let him go.”

He looked at the guards and said coldly, “Take him to the basement and lock him up. Without my orders, he

doesn’t get food, water, or visitors.”

“No!” Summer’s voice broke. “Adrian, let him go! I was wrong! I’ll never talk about leaving again. I’ll never see him again. Just don’t lock him up!”

Adrian looked down at the trembling woman clinging to him, and the pain in his chest became almost unbearable.

What he had always wanted wasn’t her submission. He wanted her heart.

But her heart had chosen someone else.

He bent down, lifted Summer into his arms, and carried her upstairs in spite of her crying and struggling.

“Adrian, put me down! Let Ethan go!”

“Quiet. From today on, if you dare say his name again, I’ll make sure he disappears for good.”

He kicked open the bedroom door, threw her onto the bed, and came down over her.

The room instantly filled with suffocating tension.

Adrian grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. “Summer, I’m telling you right now-you’re never

getting away from me.”

“You’re mine. You can only be mine.”

“Anyone who tries to take you from me, I’ll destroy.”
