He Ran to Save Her from Being Erased, Not Knowing He Erased Himself from Me Chapter 12

He Ran to Save Her from Being Erased, Not Knowing He Erased Himself from Me Chapter 12

Julian led me by the hand onto the dance floor.

He was surprisingly good at dancing. He didn’t seem like a cold academic type at all. He moved like a

socialite.

I teased him. “Do you dance often?”

“Mm-hmm. I attended a lot of parties abroad. So I pick it up.” Julian looked down at me.

His gaze was intense, which didn’t match his usual cool demeanor.

But it wasn’t unpleasant. His eyes were full of admiration.

I felt a little shy under his stare, so I changed the subject. “You haven’t been back in years. What brought you home this time?”

“I was about to get my green card. This might have been my last chance to come back.” He answered.

I nodded and swayed gently to the music.

The song was soft and pretty. Couples laughed and talked around us.

I was enjoying myself.

Then someone bumped into Julian, nearly knocking him over.

I frowned and saw Nolan with his dance partner right next to us. Nolan’s face was dark, his whole body

radiating anger.

He had clearly bumped into Julian on purpose.

Julian steadied himself and looked at Nolan.

He didn’t say anything. He just tried to lead me away.

“Stop.” Nolan couldn’t help himself.

He let go of his partner and came over, grabbing my other arm.

Julian’s expression turned cold. “What are you doing, Nolan?”

“Julian, don’t you know Elara is my fiancée? What’s your game?” Nolan was even angrier.

People around us turned to stare.

I was mortified.

Were these two fighting over me? In public?

“Nolan, are you crazy?” I yanked my arm free. I just wanted to leave.

Julian didn’t want to cause a scene either. He tried to pull me away.

“I’m talking to you, Julian.” Nolan’s voice rose. “I’m trying to be civil here, Julian. Don’t make me lose it.”

Nolan was clearly losing it. With his status and composure, he would never normally say something like

that.

Julian stopped. His eyes turned sharp. He held my hand tighter, and his voice dropped, low and dangerous.

“Nolan, do you want to be thrown out?”

That was all the provocation Nolan needed.

He swung his fist and punched Julian right in the face.

Blood sprayed from Julian’s nose. But Julian wasn’t weak either. He hit back immediately.

Westbrook’s famous Twin Stars started brawling right there on the dance floor.

I watched, stunned. What was wrong with them?

Nolan losing his mind I could understand. But Julian? He was supposed to be a professor at a top university.

Why was he even angrier than Nolan?

I didn’t get it, but I didn’t have time to figure it out. I jumped in to pull them apart.

Other alumni rushed over to help.

Both of them were bleeding. Julian’s nose was a mess. Nolan’s lip was split.

“Elara, come with me.” Nolan pushed through the crowd, leaving no room for argument.

Julian didn’t say anything. He just looked at me.

I got the feeling he wanted me to go with him.

Without really thinking, I grabbed Julian’s arm. “Let’s get you to the hospital.”

“Elara, wait…” Nolan stared, shocked and confused.

I looked back at him. His face was filled with disbelief and something else, fear.

He finally looked like he was afraid of losing me.
