Betray the Mafia Heiress? You’re Finished. Chapter 06

Elara’s face turned livid.

I couldn’t help it. A laugh burst out of me. I walked up to her, reached out, and gave her face a few hard,

stinging pats.

“Elara, did I go too easy on you three years ago? That’s why you’re still this thick-skinned after all this time.”

My nails were freshly done; each slap left sharp red marks where the edges of my nails grazed her skin.

Up close, I noticed she’d kept herself well-maintained over the years-her skin was smooth, tender, and

flawless.

“Hazel, stop it!”

Cian rushed over to protect her, but I lifted my right foot and kicked him hard in his newly bandaged

abdomen.

“What? I hit her, and you felt left out?”

He crumpled to the ground, his old wound splitting open again, his clothes quickly soaking through with

blood.

Watching that streak of red, I felt a surge of excitement.

“Principessa Valenti, look how arrogant this bitch is right in front of you! She has no respect for your authority, no fear of the Valenti family…”

I spun around and slapped the man speaking hard across the face.

He was stunned, clutching his stinging cheek and staring at me in disbelief.

“James, it looks like getting fired and blacklisted from your entire industry still wasn’t enough to teach you a lesson.” I paused, then smiled. “Here. Let me give you one more gift.”

The bodyguard beside me received my signal and pulled a stack of documents from his briefcase.

“Principessa Valenti, these are the proofs that he stole company secrets and embezzled public funds. Should

I hand them over to the police now?”

I waved my hand, and James finally snapped to his senses.

He tried to grab the documents from the bodyguard, but he was quickly restrained and dragged away to the

police station.

“Hazel, who the hell are you?”

Cian was dumbfounded. He’d heard the bodyguard’s firm address loud and clear.

And when the bodyguard called me Principessa, Florence had remained calm, not a hint of anger on her

face.

He wasn’t an idiot-he could put two and two together.

I looked at his pitiful, delusional state and smiled softly. “Me? I’m Florence’s sister. What do you think that

makes me?”

My words sent a shockwave through the crowd.

Elara’s face turned completely ashen.

Cian’s so-called “friends” paled, dropping to their knees with a thud.

“Hazel, I’m sorry! I was blind and stupid. I apologize for everything I did. I’ll never insult you again-please forgive me.”

“Yeah, all the stuff we did… it was Elara who put us up to it! She said that once you and Cian got divorced, she’d find a way to let us buy into Cian’s company. We only went along with it because she got in our heads. If you’re looking for payback, you shouldn’t be coming after us!”

“Exactly, exactly. It was all Elara’s doing. I had no grudge against you. There’s no way I would’ve gone after

you for no reason.”

Elara’s face flushed crimson with rage at their words. She exploded, “What the hell are you talking about?

You’re the ones who couldn’t stand Hazel!”

“You hated how she saw right through your fake, slimy act. You just wanted to keep cozying up to Cian as his little cronies, so you ganged up to push her out and get Cian to marry me!”

“You hypocrites! None of you lifted a finger to help Cian when he went bankrupt. Now that identity, you’re too scared to stand by him, too scared to say a single word for him!”

you know Hazel’s

“What about you?” one of them shot back. “When you ran off with his money, did you ever think about staying to help him? No one’s more hypocritical than you!”

“That’s right! We might not have helped him, but we never kicked him when he was down like you did. Who do you think you are to judge us?”

Elara’s aggressive momentum faded away after their retorts.

“Enough! You pack of worthless excuses for friends-I don’t need any of you! Get lost! All of you! And don’t you ever show your faces in front of me again!”

Cian’s face was pale, his hand clamped tightly over his still-bleeding abdomen.

He’d lost too much blood that night; his head was spinning, and he had no energy to process their words.

Florence frowned slightly, looking at me in exasperation. “You’ve caused two messes today, and Mamma and

Papa already know. They told me to bring you home early. So wrap this mess up. Now.”

I shrugged innocently. “I want a divorce, but he won’t agree. We’re just stuck like this.”

“You’re lying! You’re the one who refuses to divorce!” Elara’s eyes flashed with malice as she ground her

teeth.

“Since you’re the Valenti family’s second young lady, living a life of luxury most people can only dream of,

why are you fixated on Cian’s assets? Why do you insist on making him leave with nothing?”

“If a homewrecker like you can show up at my door and force the original spouse to leave with nothing, why can’t I make him pay for what he did wrong?”

I blinked, smiling coldly.

I’d always lived by a simple rule: don’t mess with me, and I won’t mess with you.

But anyone who crossed me would pay the price.

I didn’t waste any more words, tossing the prepared divorce agreement in front of him.

“Sign it if you’ve made up your mind. If not, we’ll keep dragging this out.”

With that, Florence and I got in the car and drove away.
