Betray the Mafia Heiress? You’re Finished. Chapter 05

The moment the words left my lips, my smile grew even brighter.

Elara’s face, however, paled dramatically, and she looked to Cian in panic.

“Don’t bother looking at him,” I said. “He’s drowning in debt right now. He can’t help you.”

Cian, who’d been about to comfort Elara, froze at my words and turned to stare at me sharply. “What do you

mean by that?”

I feigned innocence, blinking my eyes. “Don’t you remember where your startup capital came from?”

A bad premonition washed over Cian. “That money was from you!”

“That’s right. I lent it to you in the name of the Valenti family. At loan-shark rates. Ten times the interest. You

know what that means? What you owe me now is enough to make you liquidate every asset you own and

still spend the rest of your life working off the debt.”

My smile was radiant, but Cian’s face turned ashen.

He froze in place, his entire body trembling as he glared at me.

“Hazel, have you lost your mind? Don’t forget, we’re still married! If you ruin me, you’ll go down with me!”

He tore off all his pretense, revealing his true colors at last.

His eyes blazed with hatred and malice as he looked at me.

But I was no saint, and certainly not a pushover who’d stay silent when wronged.

In the end, he had only himself to blame. After all, he’s the one who couldn’t keep it in his pants.

“So,” I said, “how about we don’t get divorced after all? Let’s just stay married and make each other’s lives

hell.”

“Hazel, you bitch-go to hell!”

Cian snapped, charging at me in a fit of rage, his hand raised to strike.

Before he could even touch me, bodyguards emerged from the shadows in the blink of an eye, kicking him

hard and sending him flying.

“Principessa Valenti, are you alright?”

“Prin… Principessa Valenti? Hazel really is the Valenti family’s second young lady?”

“It can’t be! She can’t be a wealthy young lady-how would someone from the Valenti family live in a basement and work odd jobs?”

Cian, looking pale and in pain, was helped up by Elara.

His face ashen, he ground his teeth and asked me, “Hazel, who the hell are you? Why did he call you Second Young Lady?”

Before I could answer, a black bulletproof Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of me abruptly.

The door opened, and Florence stepped out slowly and gracefully.

Florence had taken over the family business at eighteen, with connections in both the legitimate and underworld circles. Every businessman present knew her-and feared her.

“Principessa Valenti, what brings you here?”

“Principessa Valenti, there’s a woman here impersonating your younger sister to throw her weight around! You need to put her in her place!”

“That’s right, Principessa Valenti! She was running her mouth earlier, claiming she’s the Valenti family’s

second young lady and that offending her means offending the entire Valenti family. This shameless bitch-

don’t let her get away with it!”

Hearing their words, Elara perked up, joining in with her complaints. “Yes! This woman’s insane! If she dares

impersonate a Valenti young lady today, who knows what trouble she’ll cause in your family’s name

tomorrow, Principessa Valenti. You can’t let her off easy…”

“What do you think you are?” Florence cut her off with a cold glance, her voice calm and unhurried. “A morally corrupt homewrecker-how dare you judge others so casually?”
