Abandoned by My Four Dons: The Mafia Princess’s Revenge Chapter 07

None of them moved.

On the other end, Gianna was still talking.

“I’m so scared… Nina’s just jealous because you love me more, so she took it out on me while you

were gone!”

Matteo’s voice was wrecked.

“You said Nina hit you just now, while we weren’t there?”

Gianna, completely caught up in her own act, didn’t catch the shift in his tone. She just cried

harder.

“It’s fine, really. I have her heart now. I guess she deserves to hate me a little.”

Alessio’s breath caught. His hands were shaking so badly he could barely hold the phone.

“Gianna, all those times you came crying to us, saying Nina was bullying you. You were lying? You

made it all up?”

I stood off to the side, eyes wide.

No wonder.

She’d been turning them against me this whole time, whispering, lying, taking them from me one

by one. That’s why everything changed.

But none of it could reach me anymore.

I glanced at the clock on the wall.

I’d spent every penny I had in this world on one last gift for them.

It had to be almost time…

The room had gone silent.

Matteo’s voice came out hollow. “Gianna told me Nina shredded her favorite dress out of jealousy.

I completely shut Nina out after that, refused to even make her meals, just to teach her a lesson.”

Alessio slammed his fist into the wall. His knuckles split open.

“Gianna told me Nina kept scaring her at night and making her pass out. I felt so guilty I swore I’d

cure her myself…”

He covered his face and let out a broken sob.

“God, what have I done… I destroyed my own sister for a lying stranger.”

Dario looked gutted. “She was always tearing Nina down to me too…”

Rafe stood in the corner, eyes red, staring at the white sheet draped over my body. He didn’t say a

word.

Alessio, Matteo, and Dario sank to their knees beside the bed, sobbing, begging me for

forgiveness.

“Nina, we’re going to make this right. We swear it.”

All I felt was the sick irony of it all.

Did they forget they were part of it too? That they were the ones who’d pushed me to this?

They carried my body to the car. They wanted to give me a proper funeral.

As they drove through the city, my face appeared on the digital billboards, one after another,

screen after screen.

At the same time, my voice came through the car speakers.

“My name is Nina. I’m here to tell the world what my brothers, Alessio, Matteo, and Dario, and my

husband, Rafe, did to me. They took my heart.”

All four of them stumbled out of the car.

People on the street were stopping, one by one, eyes lifting to the screens.

The Midtown billboards were playing the video, the footage from outside the operating room,

where they’d planned it all.

“Nina’s healthy. Blood type, age, everything lines up We’re not gonna get a chance like this again.

We should transplant her heart into Gianna.”

“I’ll have the evidence destroyed. Nina won’t know a thing.”

Dario’s voice cracked open.

“God… how long did she know? Is that why… did she do this because she knew?”

All four of them stood paralyzed while strangers‘ voices cut into them, one word at a time.

“Holy shit, is that the Lazzari girl? What the hell is she saying? They cut out her heart for the adopted sister?”

“Oh my God. Alessio? That big–shot surgeon? Doctor of the Year? He stole his own sister’s heart?”

“The Lazzari brothers were supposed to worship that girl! You wouldn’t do that to your worst enemy, and they did it to their own flesh and blood?

Then the screens cut to the next clip, the recording from last night. Gianna and Rafe.

“My heart’s fixed now. So when are you going to leave her?”

“You know you’re the one I love. But Nina saved my life. I can’t just throw her away. And Alessio said, if your body starts rejecting the heart, we still need her blood to save you.”

Matteo, always the sharpest one in the room, was the first to put it together.

Every trace of color had left his face. He turned to Rafe.

“You and Gianna… you knew each other before all this? You brought her into our family just to fix

her heart?”
