My Alpha Bonded with Someone Else, I Did Too Chapter 07

He instinctively tried to argue, but just then, Rachel barged in.

I looked at her, clad in a mockery of a wedding gown, and smiled with open derision.

I had seen this coming.

Rachel had always loved doing everything couples did under the excuse of being “one of the guys.”

“Perfect timing,” I said. “You owe your female bestie a mating ceremony anyway. Today is the perfect opportunity to make it up to her.”

Panic flashed through Cole’s eyes, and he quickly tried to explain.

“It’s not like that, Maya. Listen to me…”

Rachel threw an arm around Cole’s shoulders and cut him off.

“Cole, I saw that your bride was pulling a no-show. I couldn’t just let you stand there and be humiliated.

That’s why I put on this dress to help you out. Pretty good bro, right?”

After saying that, she looked me up and down and curled her lip.

“No wonder you dumped Cole. Turns out you already found the next guy.

Then she turned to Cole.

“A woman who can’t make up her mind like that should be dumped as soon as possible. Today, I’ll do one

more good deed and reluctantly be your bride.”

“The guests are still waiting. Hurry up and get back next door so we can tie the knot.

She glanced at me, her eyes bright with the excitement of someone certain she had won.

Then she grabbed Cole and tried to pull him away.

But he suddenly shook off her hand.

Rachel lost her balance and stumbled to the floor, her face full of disbelief.

Cole did not even look at her. He wrapped his arms around me like a man clinging to his last shred of sanity.

“Maya, I know I was wrong. If the bonded certificate bothers you, I’ll go sever it with her right now.I’m begging you, don’t do this with him.”

Over his shoulder, Rachel and I met each other’s eyes calmly.

She got up from the floor in humiliation.

Seeing Cole react so intensely, she bit her lip hard, unwillingness filling her eyes. AM

She walked up to Cole and stared straight at him.

“Cole, didn’t

you say you liked me? Didn’t you say it hurt you that I was forced to hide in the friend-zone all these years? Come back with me and finish the ceremony, okay?”

As she spoke, she held out her hand to him.

Cole looked quietly at that hand, but there was not a trace of tenderness in his eyes.

“My Luna will only ever be Maya. Who gave you permission to wear her wedding dress? What right do you have to put it on?”

“I should never have gotten that bonded certificate with you in the first place. This is all your fault. If it

weren’t for you, how would Maya and I have ended up like this?”

Cole had always protected her.

He had never once embarrassed her in public.

This was the first time he had humiliated her in front of everyone.

He had even pushed all the blame onto her.

Rachel’s face went deathly pale as Cole shouted at her to take off the dress.

At last, the ‘cool girl’ facade shattered completely. She let out a piercing scream.

“Cole, have you forgotten? I’m the one who’s legally bonded to you.”

“And what right do you have to blame me? If you really loved her that much, you wouldn’t have slept with me, and you definitely wouldn’t have secretly bonded with me behind her back. Who are you trying to fool

with this devoted-lover act now?”

Rachel seemed half-crazed.

Like she no longer cared what burned down with her.

Seeing her like that only made Cole hate her more.

As if afraid she would say something worse, he grabbed Rachel and dragged her toward the exit.

“Stop talking nonsense. Get out.”

Rachel struggled and screamed.

“What? Are you scared? Scared she’ll find out I was once pregnant with your pup but lost it, and that you went to the Elder Council to bind yourself to me out of guilt…”

Smack.

Rachel was slapped to the floor.

Cole looked at me in panis, desperate to explain.

But Rachel, now completely out of control, lunged at him, clawing and hitting wildly.

The two of them started fighting right there, throwing the entire hall into chaos.

It did not end until the pack enforcement team arrived and took them both away.

Ethan had already spoken with the Silvermoon Pack elders in advance.

As an honored guest who had come to bond with me, he had made one thing clear: if the two packs did not

want a war, then the elders had better keep their Alpha under control.

By the time Cole was released from detention, Ethan and I had already completed our mating ceremony.

And I had successfully withdrawn from Silvermoon Pack.
