You Trusted Her. Now Live as Me Chapter 01

After We Went Back in Time and Swapped Bodies, My Husband Was Stunned

After Gavin Whitmore and I destroyed each other in a fit of madness, we both woke up two months before our deaths.

Only to discover that Gavin and I had switched bodies.

And today happened to be the day I brought Gavin lunch and met Sienna Blake for the first time.

She looked at me, having no idea that the soul inside my body was now Gavin.

Just like in the previous timeline, she spoke in that soft, delicate voice of hers.

“Mrs. Whitmore is here too? Did I come at a bad time?”

Gavin reacted fast.

“No, no. Nora…”

Then he remembered we’d switched bodies and immediately corrected himself.

“I brought lunch. Ms. Blake, why don’t you join us?”

I didn’t object.

Because the moment I remembered what was about to happen, I couldn’t help looking forward to it.

Gavin poured a bowl of soup and eagerly handed it to Sienna.

The next second, the bowl crashed to the floor.

“Ah!”

Sienna clutched her wrist, tears swimming in her eyes.

“Mrs. Whitmore, why would you do this to me?”

Gavin, who had loved Sienna more than life itself in the previous timeline, froze.

—

“I didn’t!”

Gavin stared at Sienna in confusion, then instinctively reached out.

“Come here. Let me see how bad it is.”

But Sienna turned away and hid behind me, her eyes red with grievance.

“Mr. Whitmore, I… I’m scared.”

Gavin looked completely baffled.

“Scared of what? I didn’t even touch you.”

I stepped in front of Sienna exactly the way Gavin had protected her in the previous timeline.

“Nora Bennett, if you did something wrong, own up to it. Don’t act like you’re better than everyone else just because you’re Mrs. Whitmore.”

Gavin panicked.

“But I really didn’t hurt her! Maybe it was an accident… Either way, I didn’t do it on purpose!”

Sienna started sobbing.

“Mrs. Whitmore, are you saying I’m framing you? I’m just a secretary. You don’t have to target me like this.”

Gavin’s eyes widened. He couldn’t get a single word out.

I laughed coldly inside, but my expression didn’t change.

“Sienna, take an hour off and get that checked out. Whitmore Holdings will cover the medical expenses.”

Sienna left in tears.

Gavin clenched his jaw.

“Nora Bennett, you’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”

I looked at him coldly.

“I’m only doing exactly what you did in the previous timeline. What are you so angry about?”

Gavin still refused to believe it.

“Only you know whether you deliberately hurt Sienna back then. This was just an accident!”

“Sienna gets scared easily. She must’ve been startled and seen it wrong.”

I sat down without a care.

“Think whatever you want.”

Sienna had plenty more tricks waiting for him.

Every humiliation and every ounce of pain I’d suffered in the previous timeline, Gavin Whitmore was going to experience one by one.

After Gavin stormed out, Margaret Whitmore called.

She said it was Grandpa Whitmore’s seventieth birthday dinner and told us to come back to the Whitmore family estate that evening.

I agreed with a smile.

Gavin Whitmore, the show was only beginning.

That night, I took Gavin back to the Whitmore family estate.

Gavin sat at the far end of the dining table, the same seat I’d occupied for three years.

Only after the staff finished serving dinner did he realize something.

From where he sat, he could barely reach any of the food.

A strange feeling crept into his chest.

No wonder Nora Bennett had always cooked herself something else after coming home from family dinners.

He’d even mocked her for being dramatic.

So that was why…

Gavin shook his head.

What was there to feel sorry about?

If anything, Nora should’ve explained it clearly before.

His phone rang, pulling him from his thoughts.

It was Sienna calling me.

“Mr. Whitmore, the power’s out at my house. My hand still hurts, and I’m really scared.”

“I’m coming over.”

The moment I stood up, Gavin stopped me.

“You’re leaving in the middle of Grandpa’s birthday dinner? What will everyone think?”

“Sit down!”

I ignored him and walked straight out.

Margaret lashed out at Gavin in front of everyone.

“Who do you think you are, talking to my son like that?”
