You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 21

You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 21

The first time Adrian saw Nora Bloom, he decided he would marry no one but her.

Sunlight fell on the girl’s face. She was bright and lively, like a fresh peach.

But her personality was too spoiled. Spoiled, delicate, and full of little tantrums.

After they got married, his feelings slowly faded.

He thought he wanted someone gentler and more obedient.

He wanted to taste that kind of life.

Vivian Shaw was gentle and generous. She was exactly what he wanted.

He casually kept her in a house in the gated community.

He didn’t think Nora Bloom would ever know.

He never got close to Vivian Shaw outside.

The people around him knew how to keep their mouths shut. He was very satisfied.

When he ran into Nora at the hospital, he looked calm on the surface, but his palms were soaked in

cold sweat.

She didn’t find out.

He secretly breathed in relief.

In the car, Vivian Shaw told him she was pregnant.

He thought carelessly that she could just get rid of the baby.

But when he lay in the bed Vivian had warmed with her body, he felt that letting this woman have

the child might not be impossible.

He never knew that at that moment, Nora Bloom was thinking about how to leave him.

He had never kissed Vivian goodbye at the door.

But that morning, when he opened the door and saw the caution and longing in her eyes, he lowered

his head.

Just once.

The door across from them opened.

He was still confused, wondering when someone had moved in.

The footsteps were light, like a cat.

They were Nora Bloom’s footsteps, a sound carved into his bones.

Her scent was stamped into his soul.

He didn’t dare turn back.

He didn’t think about anything.

Mechanically, he looked at Nora’s pale, calm face. Mechanically, he went downstairs with her.

He didn’t know where she was driving.

He thought that if the world ended right then, it would be better. Then he wouldn’t have to face her

disappointment.

But her hands didn’t even tremble.

She parked steadily outside the county clerk’s office.

My Nora was truly ruthless.

It was beyond repair.

His heart told him that.

He let out a soft cold laugh.

Then he wouldn’t repair it.

He would let her have her way.

He signed.

He posted the divorce certificate.

She left.

He took Vivian Shaw with him.

He thought she had never been willing to lose. She wouldn’t accept losing to another woman. She

would come back.

She came back.

But she was already married.

He had waited at the airport early and watched her be surrounded by reporters.

That night, he cut his wrist.

When the doctors saved him, he finally realized Nora Bloom no longer belonged to him.

And he had already died when she left.

He had stopped wanting to live long ago.

The one destined for him had gone to someone else.

He stubbornly told Julian Foster that he would wait.

But he knew that even if one day Julian made the same mistake he did, Nora Bloom would only fall

in love with another man.

She would never look back.
