You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 20

You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 20

Julian attended Adrian’s wedding on behalf of his grandfather.”

Although he had grown up in New York, he had gone to Washington, D.C., early and built his own

world there.

Old Mr. Foster never gave up. He always wanted Julian to return and inherit the family business.

Julian thought that north, south, east, west, anywhere could be home. He didn’t need to return to

New York.

At the wedding, he was bored, holding a glass of wine.

The bride appeared.

The beautiful woman the Whitmore heir had chased for four years, exhausting every trick before

finally succeeding.

Julian glanced at her faintly. He didn’t see her clearly.

She was pretty, but just pretty.

Someone at the same table sighed.

“Adrian is lucky. He fell for her at first sight and made his move right away. No one else even got a

chance.”

Julian glanced sideways at Lauren Sutton, Adrian’s childhood friend.

But in his eyes, Julian saw thick envy and unwillingness.

Julian thought disdainfully that he was shallow. A dignified heir of the Sutton family, yet he wanted

to be the other man.

When the woman walked past him, the glass in his hand tilted, and he didn’t even notice.

Too sweet.

Sweet and soft, like a rose soaked in honey.

She opened champagne with Adrian at the wedding, and Julian’s hand trembled.

The princess from Roman Holiday had slipped out into the world. For the first time, Julian wanted

to agree with Lauren.

Why was Adrian so lucky?

Julian thought he would just watch from afar.

But Washington, D.C., was too far away.

So he returned to New York.

His grandfather was overjoyed, thinking Julian had finally become tired of working elsewhere. He

had no idea Julian had come back because of a woman.

Even after returning to New York, she was still far away.

Too far.

Julian wasn’t satisfied.

He deliberately became friends with Adrian.

But her eyes never once fell on him.

It wasn’t hard to learn Adrian’s preferences.

At the private club, Adrian never looked at the heavily made-up beauties, but his

unconsciously drift toward gentle women.

Vivian Shaw, a woman in New York with nowhere to go.

“I can solve your problem. Five million dollars.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Nothing. Can you cook?”

“I can learn.”

gaze would

The woman seized the chance. Julian went to the private club more often, and he had the housekeeper at home send things over.

Adrian sighed that Nora Bloom had never cooked before. He couldn’t bear to let her.

He said that with his mouth, but a trace of disappointment flashed through his eyes.

Fake.

Julian sneered.

The housekeeper got sick. Vivian Shaw came. Adrian saw her.

A month later, Vivian Shaw left.

Julian didn’t ask where she went. He only had someone keep watch and watched her be kept by

Adrian in the gated community.

He deliberately bought the house across from hers.

He knew Nora Bloom would need it.

As for why he was so certain, even he didn’t know.

Nora Bloom was too soft and too sweet. That made Adrian and the people around him overlook the

decisiveness in her nature.

She was devoted. If someone loved her ten parts, she would return ten parts.

But if someone could no longer give that love, she could cut them off just as decisively.

Julian loved that she was devoted, and he loved that she wasn’t so devoted she would lose herself.

Someone wanted to buy his house and gave her name.

He actually trembled.

She had found out.

She had finally found out.

He sold it without hesitation.

When he sold the house, he couldn’t help sighing. As expected of the woman he loved.

Even though he watched her movements constantly, he didn’t know when she had found out, or when she had calmly handled everything.

The night she moved into that house, his car was parked downstairs.

Morning sunlight fell on Adrian’s lifeless face.

Julian knew everything was settled.

On the night of the wedding, Nora Bloom fell asleep from exhaustion.

Julian went out.

Adrian was crouched by the door.

“You clearly knew I loved her, Julian Foster, yet you stole my wife.”

“Who said I was your friend?”

Julian asked back.

Adrian stood up.

“You only used dirty tricks, Julian Foster. You only haven’t gotten her yet. Men are all the same.”

“I won’t give up. I’ll keep waiting. I’ll wait for you to make a mistake. I’ll wait for her to come back

to me.”

“Then I hope you enjoy waiting.”

Julian didn’t want to pay attention to him anymore.

He turned and closed the door. Behind him, the man was still stubborn.

Julian breathed in the rose scent in the night and smiled.

Did Adrian think Julian didn’t know exactly how he had gotten her?
