When Love Turns to Ashes Chapter 07

Of course, I also wished him and Isabelle a happy engagement, just like other colleagues in the company. After that, I deleted all of Landon’s contact information.

The plane glided down and my parents came to the airport to pick me up.

My mother held my hand, with a face full of concern, “My good daughter, studying and working so far away from home, look, now you have become so thin!”

My dad also patted my shoulder and muttered, “It’s good to be back!”

And beside them stood a man with a straight posture, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist.

The man looked a little older than me, wearing a three-piece gentleman’s suit, with deep eyes, a

gentle gaze, and a faint smile in his eyes, quietly watching me.

The gaze was scorching, and I involuntarily blushed, already guessing the man’s identity.

My parents quickly introduced me, “Rena, this is Julian.”

I reached out my hand to shake his, and Julian extended his large hand, gently grasping my

fingertips.

“Fiancée, welcome home,” Julian said, looking at me with a twinkle in his eye, his words making my face instantly flush red.

My parents smiled and looked at the two of us, then pushed me straight towards Julian.

Julian took the suitcase that was being pushed by my left hand, He was very observant and

immediately noticed the burn on my wrist.

“How did you hurt your wrist?” Julian asked me.

I don’t want to talk about the embarrassing experience in the pantry, so I’ll just say I was accidentally burned.

Julian’s eyes flickered, then he patted my head and said, “From now on, you will be my wife and you have to learn to get used to my kindness towards you.”

“Um,” I weakly replied, his gentleness was simply overwhelming.

After taking me home, Julian’s first task was to take out the first aid kit and pick out the blisters for me, treat the wounds, and apply soothing ointment.

I was a little uncomfortable jumping into another relationship right after coming out of one, but Julian said he could wait as long as I ultimately choose him.

After sending Julian off, I hadn’t figured out how to confess to him yet, but my parents could tell that I was preoccupied.
