When He Learned I Was Abused, My CEO Ex Lost It! Chapter 08

Adrian looked way too smug, like he’d seen through everything from the start, then actually started meowing around my apartment.

“Dabao, tell Daddy where the other kitty named Husband is, okay?”

My cat and I both looked at the mighty CEO like he’d lost his

mind.

I said flatly,

“Do you really think naming a cat Husband sounds good?”

“You used to call me dog. Your taste has always been weird.”

Me: “That’s because you really were a dog.”

He searched forever and still couldn’t find a second pet named

Husband.

But Adrian was not discouraged in the slightest.

Instead, he started feeding Dabao cat treats.

That shameless fat cat of mine switched sides the second food

showed up.

Then my brother opened the front door and walked in.

Just like that.

Me.

My brother.

Adrian.

All staring at each other.

The air froze.

My brother spoke first.

“Judy, who is this?”

I’d searched high and low for a husband and never found one.

Now one had delivered himself right to my door.

I rushed to answer first.

“Husband, this is my boss.”

My brother frowned harder.

I shot him frantic looks.

He got it, rolled his eyes at me, and still held a hand out to

Adrian.

“Nice to meet you, Boss. I’m Judy’s husband.”

Adrian’s pupils shook.

He silently reached out too.

They shook hands.

Then both of them started using force.

No joke. My brother climbed all the time. His grip strength was insane.

A few seconds later, my brother let go.

Adrian’s fingertips had already gone white, and his face was

dark.

Brandon said lightly,

“You’ve got quite a grip.”

Adrian smiled coldly.

“And you use that grip to hit your wife?”

My brother turned to me in total confusion.

I hurried to cover.

“Honey, has the child been good at Mom’s the last few days?”

“Oh, yeah. He’s doing great.”

Brandon handed me the food box in his hand. “Mom made your favorite roast for you.”

I instantly put on my sweet little-wife smile.

“Tell Mom thank you for me~”

Watching us act all loving and domestic, Adrian’s face kept getting uglier.

My brother picked up the baseball bat from the floor.

“Was this a gift from the boss? Pretty unique.”

“Sorry for the disturbance.”

Adrian snatched the stupid bat back, brushed past us, and said expressionlessly,

“I’ll be leaving.”

My brother and I stayed where we were, watching his lonely,

defeated back disappear down the hallway.
