The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 21

The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 21

Aurora’s POV

I turned Silas down flat, then glanced over at Damian. His eyes were full of desperate pleas

Once, he’d clung to Selina like she was his whole world.

Now she’d betrayed him. The only person he’d ever cared about had turned her back on him.

All he had left was me.

“Aurora…” Damian let out a broken, bitter laugh.

“Is there any way I can fix this between us?”

He wanted to beg me.

“Please, Aurora, don’t be cruel. Give me one more chance.”

Before he could get the words out, I fixed him with a cold stare and cut him off.

“No. You don’t get another shot.”

I smiled and slipped my arm through Asher’s.

“I’ve already chosen Asher.”

“I’m going to marry him. I’ll be his mate.”

Agony crashed over Damian. He clutched his chest and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

The whole room gasped. Instinct made me step forward to steady him, but I forced myself to freeze.

I couldn’t reach out anymore.

I’d let him go.

Whatever became of Damian from this day on, it didn’t matter to me.

Damian laughed wildly, blood trickling down his pale, bloodless lips.

“I’m the biggest fool alive.”

Still laughing, he spun around and stumbled out of the palace step by step.

Palace guards dragged Selina off the grounds, but Silas was allowed to stay.

“Alpha King, I kept the one promise you asked of me,” Silas said quietly.

“I love Aurora more than anyone alive. I’d lay down my life for her without hesitation.”

“I just loved her the wrong way-sneaky, underhanded. That’s why I lost.”

“But I never hurt her. Whenever Aurora was upset, I was the first one there to soothe her. If she was

sad, I’d do anything to make her smile. I’d even take a blade to the chest if it meant seeing her

happy.”

A tear slid down Silas’s cheek, his voice cracking.

“You might not believe it, but Aurora saved me.”

“I’m a bastard child. My mother died giving birth to me. My father took me in, but he never wanted

He and his Luna beat and screamed at me every single day.”
“I ran away one day, convinced I’d wander alone forever. Then Aurora walked into my miserable

life.”

“She looked like a tiny angel-bright, pure, perfect. When she stepped up to me, I thought I was

dreaming.”

“She grabbed my hand and allowed me to go home together. In that second, I found my salvation.”

“I don’t want to leave, Alpha King. Even if Aurora never picks me, I want to stand guard over her for

the rest of my days, be her second choice forever,” Silas begged.

“Please let me stay. I’ll help run the pack, swear fealty to her as a Beta for all time.”

Silas’s words touched Father’s heart. He agreed to take Silas in as an adopted son and let him

remain within the WPK.

After all, he was the only one who’d truly loved me selflessly.

“Is letting Selina walk free really too lenient?” a guest spoke up.

I let out a cold scoff. “Don’t worry. We don’t need to lift a finger to punish her plenty of others will hunt her down.”

Damian and the other five former promised mates weren’t soft men.

Selina had lied and manipulated every last one of them. They’d never let her get away unscathed.

I wouldn’t dirty my own hands. All I had to do was watch the chaos unfold from afar.

Three years later, I claimed my rightful power and became the new Alpha King of the Werewolf

Alliance.

Asher kept his vow and stepped down as lord of the Night Empire, passing the title to his younger

brother.

On the day of our mating ceremony, his fangs sank into my wrist.

Snow let out a shrill gasp. “It’s him! He’s your true fated mate!”

I wasn’t sure how it worked, maybe cross-species bonds didn’t fall under the Moon Goddess’s rules –but in this moment, we both knew we belonged to each other.
