The Nameless Luna Chapter 06

The Nameless Luna Chapter 06

Mom walks past Esther with her eyes swollen from crying and heads straight to the bedroom without saying a word.

Dad pats Stephen on the shoulder, “Stephen, tell Esther the truth. Talk to her properly.”.

Stephen nods. Dad follows Mom back into the room.

Esther frowns in confusion, “What truth?”

Stephen doesn’t answer. He simply gestures for her to follow him back to her room,

Inside the room, the cold air from the air conditioner helps clear Stephen’s still-confused mind.

He looks at Esther and finally speaks, “Esther, today I went with your parents to ask the pack elders

to organize a search for the missing Genevieve…”

“Don’t say her name!”

Esther’s expression changes instantly. She grits her teeth.

“She’s already been kicked out. Why are you still looking for her?”

If this had happened before, Stephen would never continue after seeing Esther lose control. But this time, he only gives her a calm glance and continues.

“The person in charge was Elder Daniel, the same elder who brought you back.”

“He told us that you are not Alpha and Luna’s daughter. The bloodline test results were wrong back

then.”

“Their biological daughter and your biological parents died in a car accident five years ago.”

“Impossible!”

Esther screams.

But even she can hear the tremble in her own voice, “You’re lying to me!”

Stephen opens his mouth, wanting to explain more.

But Esther suddenly pushes him away and rushes toward Mom and Dad’s room.

She kicks open the half-closed door. Her eyes are red as she screams.

“You’re making up such a ridiculous excuse just to make me accept Genevieve?”

“You’re saying I’m not your biological daughter? How could you do this to me?”

“She has only been gone for half a month, and you already feel sorry for her?”

“What about me? I was abandoned by you for sixteen whole years!”

“In the end, even six years of living with you still can’t compare to her sixteen years with you!”

“You just want me to die!”

As she speaks, she uses the same trick again.

She takes a step forward and climbs onto the windowsill.

“You’re the ones forcing me to die! Don’t regret it later!”

Mom looks at Esther’s twisted expression.

But this time, she does not rush forward crying and begging her not to hurt herself.

Over the past six years, she has more than once felt that Esther did not seem like her daughter, nor did she seem like her mate’s child.

Whether it was her appearance or personality, Esther was completely different from both sides of

their families.

Compared to Esther, Genevieve had always looked more like them.

Mom kept telling herself that the sixteen years Esther spent away from them had changed who she

originally was.

But now, watching Esther break down in front of her, she suddenly feels relieved.

Because Esther was never her daughter.

Mom looks at Esther gripping the window frame tightly and finally realizes something.

All these years, Esther was never truly losing control.

She was only using this method to force them to give in, “Esther, we are not lying to you.”

Mom’s voice is calm, “You really are not our biological child.”

Dad walks forward and forcibly pulls Esther down from the windowsill.

“Elder Daniel gave us a copy of the bloodline test report. If you don’t believe us, you can see it yourself.”

Stephen picks up the copy from the table and hands it to Esther.

Her fingers turn white as she grips the paper tightly, as if she wants to crush it completely.

She lowers her head. Tears fall onto the document like broken beads, slowly blurring the words printed on it, “This is fake.”

She screams. Then she runs out of the pack house.

Stephen instinctively wants to chase after her, but Dad reaches out and stops him.

“Let her be alone for a while. This is a huge shock for her too. She needs time to accept it. Once she

calms down, she’ll come back.”

Stephen nods.

He turns to leave, but for some reason, he finds himself walking toward the attic with the tightly

closed door.
