I had heard rumors that Bella was throwing tantrums, refusing to let them bring me home, but I never imagined she would escalate things to this point.

I scoffed. “Can I? What do you think?”

Just as I was about to end the call, another voice spoke beside me. “Go, Sera. I’ll go with you.”

It was Elias.

His voice always had a way of calming me.

“Think of it as getting closure.”

I didn’t understand why my brother would encourage me to have anything more to do with the Vances, but I trusted his judgment and agreed to Logan’s request.

The next day, Elias drove me to the Crescent Moon Pack lands himself.

When we arrived at the infirmary, Marcus and Logan were already waiting at the door.

“Lily, you’re finally here,” Marcus said, walking up to me with a forced smile. “I know I haven’t been a good father to you in the past. I’m so touched that you came to save your sister.”

Logan chimed in, “Yeah, sis, the blood bank is completely out, and Bella is in critical condition…”

“Take me to give blood,” I said calmly.

It wasn’t until Elias accompanied me to the testing room that I finally understood why he insisted I come.

After a long hour of waiting, the pack healer came out with the test results. Every wolf’s eyes were on him.

“Miss Bella and Miss Seraphina’s blood types are a match, but…” The healer pushed up his glasses. “During the pre-transfusion bloodline compatibility test, we discovered an issue.”

Marcus shot to his feet. “What issue?”
