The Deceived Luna Chapter 01

The Deceived Luna Chapter 01

In the third year of my punishment alongside my daughter in Blackstone Cave, she fell into a coma from a high fever.

Her pulse was weak, and her breathing had become labored.

For three years, I had endured 999 lashes from a silver whip. My wolf, severely burned by the silver, had long since stopped stirring. But for my daughter, I gritted my teeth and held on.

Now, she was dying.

I touched my daughter’s burning face.

“Mommy is going to find a healer! You have to hold on!”

I fought with all my strength and climbed over the wall.

But outside wasn’t Blackstone Cave. It was a resort.

Draven, who should have been at the Blackthorne Pack, was walking arm in arm with my stepsister, Nadia.

Nadia was acting coquettishly. “Draven, you’re so wonderful. Now that we own Moonveil Pack, that foolish woman actually thinks she’s being punished.”

Draven pressed a kiss to her forehead. “That’s what Isolde gets for bullying you her whole life just because she was the princess of Moonveil Pack.”

“And that little beast she birthed, pushing you down the stairs and breaking your leg. Even if she’s my own daughter, she still needs to be taught a lesson.”

In that moment, my blood ran cold. I felt like I had fallen into an icy abyss.

So these three years of hell had been a setup from start to finish.

I touched my daughter’s burning face and fought my way over the high wall.

When I fell, a searing pain shot through my calf.

Ignoring the pain, I scrambled and crawled until I reached Draven.

“Draven! Why did you lie to me? Our daughter is dying, please save her!”

He recognized me and frowned. “How did you get out?”

Nadia held onto his arm. “Oh, Isolde, is this a prison break?”

I spoke urgently. “Grace has a high fever, please send someone to treat her!”

Draven waved a hand at me impatiently. “Alright. A kid with a fever just needs some medicine. I stand out here in the wind every day, and I’m not sick.”

Tears streamed down my face. I fell to my knees in desperation. “Her pulse is already so weak, Draven. She is your daughter too! Please, just go see her! I’m begging you!”

My heart was already numb from the pain.

Back then, Draven said that Grace, born without a wolf, had offended the Moon Goddess. He said I needed to accept the silver whip punishment in her place.

I walked into Blackstone Cave without hesitation.

My daughter was only three then. I don’t know how she got in, but by the time I found her, she was already huddled in a corner.

For the past three years, I had lived a fate worse than death.

But only today did I learn that even those three years of suffering had been a joke.

Nadia walked over and looked down at me. “Isolde, stop pretending.”

“Draven, there’s medicine inside Blackstone Cave. She’s just putting on a show for you.”

I stood up and tugged at Draven’s clothes. “Come with me, just take one look. Grace’s condition is critical!”

Before he could speak, a force shoved me back.

I slammed hard against the ground.

Nadia looked at me coldly. “Show some respect for my Alpha mate.”

I froze. “What did you say?”

Nadia laughed. “Oh, you don’t know yet.”

She placed her hand on her stomach and rubbed it gently. “I’m pregnant.”

I thought I would cry, scream, or lunge at her.

But I didn’t.

I stayed on my knees, sobbing and pleading without stopping.

“I don’t want anything anymore. No Luna title, no right to Moonveil Pack inheritance, no money.”

“I just beg you to save my child.”
