Theo left the clinic that same afternoon.

Will had wanted to come with me to drive him back to his apartment.

But when Theo heard that, he frowned, looking annoyed.

“You have an audition tomorrow.” Theo’s voice was cool and detached. “Go home and prepare for it.”

In the car, Theo and I sat in the back seat.
