The Blind Luna’s Awakening Chapter 05

The Blind Luna’s Awakening Chapter 05

Calvin’s POV

After hanging up the phone, I froze in place, my eyes widening in shock.

I had never expected that recording to exist, and even less did I expect that one day, Paige would find out about it.

Zoe didn’t notice anything unusual about me. She was still holding my arm, her voice soft and spoiled.

“Calvin, stop worrying about the pack for now. Can you just help me pick a dress?”

As she spoke, she reached for my phone.

I immediately stepped aside and pushed her hand off my arm.

“You pick your clothes first. I’ll send someone to stay with you. I need to go back to the pack.”

Without waiting for her reaction, I turned and left quickly.

Once I got into the car, I immediately called Paige. The only response I got was a message saying her phone was switched off.

I kept sending messages.

“Paige, where are you?”

“Can we sit down and talk properly? I can explain the video.”

But until I boarded the plane, she never replied.

At that moment, I suddenly remembered how unusual she had been these past few days. I immediately told Oliver to track her movements.

Along the way, Zoe called me many times. I rejected every call and only sent her a single message telling her to stay safe.

During the few hours of the flight, memories of Paige and me kept flashing through my mind.

The nights I came back drunk to the pack, and she prepared ginger ale for me.

The time she couldn’t see and burned her hand making coffee for me in the kitchen.

She accompanied me to Alpha Balls, enduring cold sarcasm from other pack Lunas, yet never once retaliated, all to maintain diplomatic ties between packs.

And that time we were out shopping, when a maniac with a knife attacked us. She stood in front of me and took two stab wounds for me, spending two months in the hospital.

Those memories I had never truly valued before now felt like blades stabbing into my mind over and over again, until I could barely breathe.

After landing, I went straight back to the pack.

Oliver had already checked Paige’s recent movements. He stood in front of me, tense.

“Alpha Calvin, two days ago the Luna went to the pack hospital for a miscarriage procedure. The healer said she had been pregnant for two months.”

I froze. “She was pregnant?”

The next second, it felt like my chest was being torn open. “But she lost the baby?”

My voice started to shake. “That was our first child…”

But even as I said it, I went still again.

I looked up at Oliver. “Since we know she went to Sicily, can we trace her exact location?”

Oliver shook his head.

“Alpha Calvin, Sicily is not a territory we can directly intervene in. If we had tracked her before the flight landed last night, it would have been possible, but now it’s already past midnight. The trail is gone.”

My feet felt rooted to the ground.

I could have known earlier. I could have stopped her from leaving. But I chose to stay with Zoe and go shopping instead. That choice cost me Paige completely.

When I returned to the pack house, I saw the things she had left behind.

My heart jolted.

But when I looked closer, that faint hope sank instantly.

Everything she left behind was what I had given her.

Not a single item she had brought with her remained.

I stood in silence for a long time, then picked up my phone and called Oliver.

“Book the fastest flight to Sicily.”

“I’m going to find Paige myself.”
