Sister’s Perfect Cheat Became Her Ruin Chapter 08

Sister’s Perfect Cheat Became Her Ruin Chapter 08 The Wolves Who Switched Sides

Barke and the wolves who had been fawning over Elsa froze mid-smile.

A second later, their faces twisted with disgust, as if she were contagious.

Burke stepped right over Elsa’s unconscious body and hurried to me. He bent even lower than before and forced an eager smile onto his face.

“Lady Helen! I knew it. No one else in our pack could ever match your talent. Your place in the Alpha Central Tribunal brings honor to every low-rank wolf here!”

The other wolves switched sides just as fast. They swarmed around me, each scrambling to be the first to flatter me.

“Lady Helen, we were blind before. That cheating thief Elsa fooled all of us!”

“Exactly! You’re a generous woman, Lady Helen. Please don’t hold our foolishness against us.’

They pulled heavy bags of crystals from their belts and held them out to me.

“Lady Helen, please accept this small gift. Congratulations on rising to the top!”

I stared at the same people who had trampled me only moments ago and now plastered smiles on their faces. I could not be bothered to give them a second glance.

Then a crushing pressure swept across the square.

The square fell silent enough to hear a pin drop. The force hit something deep in every low-rank wolf’s blood, making their knees buckle until they dropped one after another.

An older man in a dark gray fur robe walked toward us. His power seemed bottomless.

“That’s an elder from the Alpha Central Tribunal!” someone cried.

Every low-rank wolf trembled in disbelief.

No Tribunal elder with such a noble Alpha bloodline had ever set foot in the poor district where low-rank wolves lived.

Ignoring everyone kneeling around him, the elder walked straight to me and handed me a golden appointment letter and 100,000 crystals.

“Helen, you ranked first with an exceptional score of 712. This is your appointment to the Alpha Central Tribunal, along with your reward.”

“Thank you, Elder.” I accepted them respectfully.

I returned home with the appointment letter, and my once hostile parents instantly became all smiles.

They gathered around me, shamelessly fawning over me.

Dad rubbed his hands together, his eyes crinkling with a warmth I had never seen before.

“Helena, my sweet girl! You’ve made every low ranking wolf so proud!”

Mom pasted on a sweet smile and softened her voice.

“That’s right, Helen. We were wrong before. We never realized you were the true gem in this family. Now that you’re going places, the whole family will be counting on you. It’s just that… Elsa took such a terrible blow today. She can barely think straight. Could you use a little of these 100,000 crystals to pay for her exam preparation next year?”

Dad quickly joined in. “Exactly. Helen, you’ve already got the Alpha Central Tribunal appointment. Maybe you could ask the elder to give this year’s place to Elsa. You can go next year. You’re so talented that you’ll definitely take first place again.

“We’re family. You’re the older sister. Don’t be selfish.”

They said it as if their demand were perfectly reasonable.

For one brief moment, their concern and pleading almost made me think they had finally understood what they had done.

But it was still all for Elsa.

“Dream on.” I turned and walked away.

When I opened my bedroom door, I found Elsa crouched under my desk, tearing the remaining copies of my competition certificates into pieces.

The moment she saw me, she tried to hide the scraps behind her, but she was too slow to mask the vicious look on her face.

I did not say a word. I glanced at the tiny recording crystal I had installed on the desk the day before.

It captured everything clearly.

After she destroyed my certificates the first time, I prepared for her to try again. I had placed that crystal there just for her.

[HAHAHAHA Elsa chose self-destruction again Helen had the camera ready this time!]

[Fresh evidence just dropped. She is cooked!]

I ignored Elsa’s meltdown and looked at my parents, who had turned exploiting their own daughter into an art form. I laughed softly.

My eyes went cold and empty.

Since they wanted a final reckoning, I would give them one.
