Sister’s Perfect Cheat Became Her Ruin Chapter 01

Sister’s Perfect Cheat Became Her Ruin Chapter 01 The Song in My Head
For 20 straight packwide exams, my younger sister Elsa and I turned in identical answer sheets.
No matter how fast I solved the problems, she always handed her paper to the proctor one second before I did.
The pack elders who ran the exams called me in three times. They even added a serious “Cheating Warning” to my bloodline file.
Every low-rank wolf who saw me looked at me with disgust.
“Well, look at you. Too pathetic to do it on your own, so you’re crawling back to copy your little sister again?”
“Seriously, have you no shame? All you ever do is mooch off Elsa!”
But I had never so much as touched her paper.
How could our answers, corrections, and even scratch marks be identical?
That all changed today at the Bloodline Exam.
As soon as I opened the exam booklet, lines of glowing golden text materialized in the air without warning, visible only to me.
[OMG, chosen girl Elsa is living her BEST life! Mind reading is literally the most broken power ever!]
[She just pulls every answer straight out of the side character’s head. Who cares how smart that lowborn extra is? She is only here to be our queen’s stepping stone!]
Mind reading?
So that was how she did it.
No wonder Elsa had beaten me by one second on all 20 exams without getting a single word wrong.
I pushed every thought about the test out of my mind and started blasting a completely random children’s song in my head.
“A, B, C, D, E, F…”

Low-rank Omega wolves like us were born to serve high-rank wolves with noble bloodlines.
We lived in the worst housing and did the dirtiest, hardest work.
The annual Bloodline Exam was the only chance anyone in the territory had to change their life.
First place came with a job at the elite Alpha Central Tribunal and one of the extremely rare spots in the Bloodline Rite.
If one person made it, their whole family’s low-rank bloodline could be elevated, freeing them from life as outcasts.
That was why my parents gave every advantage to their spoiled younger daughter, Elsa, while we were growing up.
I was nothing more than the family’s invisible, unpaid worker, the one they were always willing to sacrifice.
I studied day and night and trained until I dropped for one reason.
I was going to pass this exam, get out, and cut every tie to this family for good.
Halfway through the song, I saw Elsa go rigid in the seat diagonally ahead of me.
Usually, her pen flew across the page without stopping as she copied my answers.
This time, it hovered in midair.
She kept glancing back at me, her face turning red as sweat rolled down her temples.
I could not help it. A quiet laugh slipped out.
She lost her cool and stamped her foot under the desk so hard that it landed with a muffled bang.
“You up front, follow the exam rules!”
The proctor snapped, shooting her a hard look.
Elsa’s face went scarlet. She turned and glared at me like she wanted to swallow me alive.
The comments called me her stepping stone.
Fine.
Today, I would send her straight to death row.
