Silent No More, Never Forgive My Family Chapter 07

“I will.”

After becoming the Alpha King’s Beta, I moved into the palace.

My job was to assist the Alpha King with pack affairs.

No one called me a monster anymore.

They called me “Beta Raven” with reverence.

Occasionally, I would hear news of the Silvermane Pack.

Yara’s legs never healed.

She will never walk again.

The wounds from that silver blade never healed either.

Suffering from the pain, she lost her fragile facade.

She threw medicine at servants.

The servants quit, and Alpha Marcus and Mary had to care for her themselves.

At first, they did.

But Yara’s temper worsened.

She even slashed Mary’s arm with scissors once.

Marcus and Mary spent all their money on potions for her.

Yara wasn’t grateful; she cursed them and wished for their death.

She blamed them for adopting her.

My departure was a blow to Marcus.

He felt he’d become stupid and was deceived by Yara.

He handed the Alpha title to Damon.

But Damon was too young.

He messed up the pack affairs and lost territory.

1 didn’t care.

Until one day, I found Marcus, Mary, and Damon at my door.

They looked haggard.

“Raven, come home,” Mary said.

I looked at her.

“Home?”

“We were wrong,” Marcus said. “We shouldn’t have treated you that way.”

I remained silent.

Mary held out the lucky bracelet, begging me to take it.

As soon as I took it, she said: “Please, just forgive Yara. We can’t afford her bills anymore. If you just say the word, she can be healed.”

“So, you’re only here for Yara.”

Damon slapped himself across the face.

“Raven, sister, I’m sorry. Do whatever you want to us, but please, spare the Silvermane Pack.”

I was confused: “I haven’t done anything to the pack.”

“I know, but the Alpha King is going to seize our lands. If you, as his Beta, speak for us, he’ll forgive

us.”

I said coldly: “What did you do?”

Damon flushed.

“We were being attacked by other packs… I sought help from a witch… I used black magic to attack

them.”

“You used black magic?”

I was shocked.

“I have my own life and duties now. The affairs of the Silvermane Pack are no longer my concern.”

I looked at Damon: “As for you, prepare yourself. The prison doors of the United Packs are opening

for you.”

Spring arrived.

The moonflowers outside the palace bloomed.

I stood by the window, watching them.

The lucky bracelet was still on my wrist.

Not because I still missed that home, but because it reminded me of how far I’d come.

“Beta Raven,” a voice called.

I turned. The Alpha King stood there with a file.

“There’s a border issue that needs your attention.”

“Understood.”

I took the file and walked out.

The moonlight spilled across the floor like a silver path leading toward the horizon.
