She Used My Face to Catch Her Online Boyfriend, Then I Became His Chapter 08

Comments were flying everywhere.

[Why is the male lead hugging that random roommate?]

[Why is this weirdly satisfying?]

[Go away, shipper of the wrong couple.]

[Why is the main girl still so heavy? Only she knows what she’s been eating. Be nicer to yourself.]

[Wait, who’s this hot guy? He’s not in the script!]

[It’s a total mess — might as well sit back and enjoy the chaos.]

Kyle and Caleb were at each other’s throats.

Each had one of my arms, neither backing down.

It was a bizarre scene at the airport.

Caleb frowned.

“Kyle, are you insane?”

Kyle laughed coldly.

“She’s my girlfriend. You trying to be the other man?”

I yelled at Janice, who was hovering outside the crowd.

“Janice! What’s going on? Did you explain or not?”

I yanked my arm free from Caleb and threw myself into my actual boyfriend’s arms.

Kyle held me tight.

Something dark flickered in Caleb’s eyes.

He pressed his lips together, then looked at Janice.

His voice was ice.

“Who are you?”

Janice swallowed and took a couple steps toward him.

“Babe, it’s me. Didn’t you say you’d love me no matter what I looked like?”

Her eyes got brighter.

“Didn’t you say you’d love everything about me?”

Caleb’s face was grim.

Janice hurried to explain, listing their chats one by one.

I listened.

After a while, I understood.

The screenshots were fake.

Janice had never confessed to Caleb.

She’d just kept using my photos behind my back.

“You stole my girlfriend’s photos?” Kyle got it now.

He pulled out his phone to call the police.

“Two idiots. One of you lied, the other believed it.”

Janice was about to snap back, but when she saw Kyle’s face, she shifted into a soft, flirty tone.

“I didn’t mean it. Can I explain?”

Kyle was set on calling the cops.

Janice panicked, tears in her eyes, and looked at Caleb.

“Babe, say something.”

Caleb’s gaze moved from Janice to me.

His breath hitched.

Finally he spoke.

“Kyle, do me a favor. Don’t file a report. Name your price.”

Janice looked hopeful.

Caleb was on her side.

Kyle didn’t even look at him.

“What makes you think your favor’s worth anything?”

The four of us ended up at the station.

It wasn’t a big deal — no real harm done.

The officer suggested mediation.

In the end, Janice apologized, and Caleb paid fifty thousand dollars on her behalf.

Comments: [Looks like they really are in love.] [He paid that much?!]

[My ship is alive again.]
