She Used My Face to Catch Her Online Boyfriend, Then I Became His Chapter 01

She Used My Face to Catch Her Online Boyfriend, Then I Became His Chapter 01

My roommate sent a group photo of our dorm to her online boyfriend.

“Babe, guess which one is me?”

He circled my face.

“This one? She’s really pretty.”

So my roommate reluctantly went along with it and pretended to be me.

After the truth came out, I had a huge fight with her.

Right in the middle of being pissed off, comments started floating across my vision.

[This random girl is so petty. The main character just used her photo once.]

[Once the main girl loses weight and meets her boyfriend in person, she’ll be even prettier anyway.]

[I can’t wait to see the sweet romance between her and the male lead, Caleb Carter.]

Caleb Carter?

I blinked.

Isn’t he my boyfriend’s roommate?

******

Lately, my roommate Janice Taylor had been acting shady.

She kept stealing glances at me out of the corner of her eye, then pulling out her phone.

She pretended it was natural, but she was clearly pointing the camera at me.

When she walked by pretending to be on the phone again, I’d had enough.

“Are you taking pictures of me without permission?”

Janice rolled her eyes, trying to play it cool.

“Don’t flatter yourself.”

No sooner had she said that than her phone’s rear camera pointed at my face and fired off a blinding flash.

“……”

Janice just doubled down, rolling her eyes again.

“Accidentally hit the button. Heh.”

I held out my hand, clearly annoyed.

“Let me see your camera roll.”

It was hot out, so everyone in the dorm was dressed lightly.

I was just in a tank top and super short shorts.

“What? That’s an invasion of privacy.”

She clutched her phone to her chest.

“Now I think you’re the one invading mine.”

“No way. Hey, don’t just grab it.”

I grabbed it anyway.

I’m taller than her, but she weighs more.

We were pretty evenly matched.

Right in the middle of wrestling for it, a call from someone labeled “Babe” popped up on the screen.

I accidentally hit accept.

A clear, gentle male voice came through.

“Babe? Why didn’t you pick up earlier?”

Janice panicked and hung up.

Then she turned on me.

“Why are you answering other people’s calls?”

Our two other roommates rushed over to break it up.

“Hey, stop fighting. What’s going on?”

I was furious.

“Janice has been taking creepshots of me. Who knows what she’s up to.”

“That’s a lie.”

She shot back.

“Brianna was just trying to hit on my boyfriend. She’s jealous I landed a hot guy, so she’s making false accusations.”

The other two exchanged glances.

They looked at Janice’s heavy frame, then at me.

Sure, I’d heard she was dating a rich, handsome guy who was very generous, but —

“Brianna has a boyfriend. What’s she jealous of?”

Janice sniffed.

“Maybe my guy’s better than hers?”

Seeing the tension ease, she slipped away to the bathroom.

“I’m gonna shower.”

She clutched her phone tight and took it in with her.

Definitely shady.

“That’s just how she is, Brianna. Don’t let it get to you. It’s probably all a misunderstanding.”

The roommates tried to smooth things over.

I nodded, but my eyes landed on Janice’s tablet — the screen was still on.
