She Hijacked My Wedding in White? Meet the Real Vesper Behind the Veil! Chapter 04

I pulled back the red cloth.

Everyone held their breath and looked over.

There were no well-wishes, no champagne, and no wedding gifts on the display stand.

There was only a whole row of design drafts.

The manuscript number, copyright registration, revision history, and that black foil-stamped

seal in the lower right corner.

Vesper.

Someone gasped.

“The wedding dress Mia is wearing… looks exactly like the one in this picture.”

“No, the details are different. The dress she’s wearing is missing the silver trim at the lower

back, and the proportions of the skirt are off.”

“Is this the original manuscript?”

“Could it be?!”

The color drained from Mia’s face in an instant.

She instinctively hid behind Adrian.

I looked at her and smiled.

“What’s wrong? Didn’t you just say you had some connection to the Vesper team?”

She opened her mouth.

“I… I got it from a friend. There must have been some misunderstanding.”

A misunderstanding?

I pulled out the top design draft and held it up for everyone to see.

“This wedding dress, model number V-17. The initial design was completed five years ago and shelved three years ago.”

I looked at the dress Mia was wearing.

“But the one you’re wearing isn’t the official version.”

“The formal version features twelve strands of hand-sewn silver thread, hidden embroidery

on the inner layer of the skirt, and the back closure isn’t made of those cheap imitation

diamonds.”

Someone in the audience couldn’t help but chuckle under their breath.

Mia clutched the hem of her skirt, and tears welled up in her eyes.

“Evelyn, do you really have to humiliate me like this? I didn’t know it belonged to you.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Belong to me? Miss Bennett, are you finally admitting this isn’t yours?”

She froze.

Adrian immediately stepped forward and stood in front of her.

“Evelyn, there must be some misunderstanding here. There’s no way Mia would have stolen

your design on purpose.”

I looked at him.

“Did I say she stole it?”

He choked.

I pulled out the second document.

“This discontinued sample garment was taken from an old warehouse of Maison Vespera six

months ago. The person who took it signed a non-disclosure agreement promising not to

display it, sell it, or use it for commercial purposes.”

“And what happened? It showed up at my wedding.”

“What a coincidence, isn’t it?”

The banquet hall fell deathly silent.

Mia started crying even harder.

“I really don’t know… Someone gave it to me. I just thought it was pretty and wanted to

surprise everyone.”

I glanced down at her wedding dress.

“Miss Bennett likes to wear other people’s wedding dresses-I don’t mind that. But you wore

my rejected draft, stood at my wedding, kissed my fiancé, and pretended to be my friend.”

“That’s a bit embarrassing.”

Adrian looked terrible.

“Evelyn, that’s enough. Today is our wedding day-do you really have to make such a scene?”

I laughed.

“Our wedding?”

“Adrian, are you sure there’s still a spot for me today?”

Just then, my assistant handed me my phone.

“Miss Sterling, the official Maison Vespera account is ready.”

I took the phone and tapped “Post.”

The next moment, a statement popped up on the big screen.

[Maison Vespera Official Statement: Vesper has never authorized Mia Bennett to wear this design. This wedding dress is a discontinued sample. Any promotion, display, or implication

of a partnership made in Vesper’s name is unauthorized.]

The whole place went wild.

“Maison Vespera has released an official statement!”

“So when Mia said earlier that she knew the Vesper team, she was lying?”

“Wait a minute, how could Evelyn just have Maison Vespera issue a statement?”

Adrian was taken aback as well.

“Evelyn, what exactly is your relationship with Maison Vespera?”

Before I could answer, the doors to the banquet hall suddenly swung open.

Several reporters rushed in and pointed their cameras straight at me.

“Miss Sterling, may I ask how you were able to access the official Maison Vespera account?”

“Are you the legendary haute couture designer Vesper, who never shows her face?”

The room was lit up by a sea of camera flashes.

I faced the camera and gently brushed my long hair off

my

shoulder.

“Of course.”

“Or did you really think Vesper would give her wedding dress to a woman who stole someone

else’s wedding?”
