I was completely weak and had no strength to answer.

I just felt exhausted to the extreme, body and soul.

Rafe was obviously enraged by my physical reaction. He grabbed me by the collar, lifted me up, and smiled with fury.

“Lavinia, you forced me to this.”

“I was planning to disgust you just once tonight, but now I’m going to make you taste all the pain I once endured.”

He suddenly let go and threw me to the ground, then beckoned to Victoria.

“Victoria, you’ll wear the wedding dress and be my bride at Lavinia’s and my wedding.”

Victoria squealed with delight and threw herself into his arms.

“Really? Then I want Lavinia to be my maid of honor. Five years ago, I was her maid of honor once—now it’s her turn to serve me. That’s fair.”

“Of course. Let her be your maid of honor and hand us the rings at the altar.”

Rafe stared at me intently, enunciating each word like a sharp scalpel cutting into my heart.

I looked up at him in disbelief.

I wanted to refuse but my throat hurt so much I couldn’t make a sound—I could only shake my head desperately.

Seeing this, Rafe showed a twisted smile: “Does it hurt? Feel like life isn’t worth living?”

“Good. Five years ago, when you walked toward another man in a wedding dress, that’s exactly how much pain I felt.”

I looked at Rafe’s face, distorted by hatred and jealousy.

Stunned for a moment, I suddenly saw through everything clearly.

All his talk about fairness was just excuses.

He was simply a psychopath who wanted me to experience the pain he’d once felt.

The more I hurt, the more satisfied he was.

So I touched my heart that had long since gone numb with pain and forced a cold smile.

“Rafe, I’m not in pain. I’m just disgusted.”

This sentence completely ignited the fury of this madman Rafe.

He pushed Victoria away and grabbed my arm, forcibly dragging me upstairs.

I struggled and resisted desperately, but couldn’t match an adult man’s strength.

Passing the master bedroom on the second floor, his steps paused slightly.

Then he kicked open the door to the guest room next door and threw me inside without mercy.

As the guest room door was about to close, I lunged forward trying to block it: “Let me out…”

From outside the door came Rafe’s cold, merciless voice.

“Feel disgusted? Tonight there’s something even more exciting waiting for you.”

“Victoria, come upstairs.”
