Reborn as Mogul Sons’ Foster Mom Chapter 07 The Car

As soon as I asked, Benedict responded without even blinking, “Of course I trust you, babe.”

Then he turned to glare at Brittany and Nathan.

“You two con artists had your fun yet? If you’re done, get lost. Don’t ruin my engagement with Lani.”

Nathan’s face instantly turned stormy, like he had just been slapped in front of everyone.

He clearly had not expected Benedict to be this loyal to me.

His fists clenched at his sides, jaw tightening in frustration.

Beside him, Brittany looked stunned.

“Mr. White, are you seriously this naive?” she snapped. “You’re really choosing to believe a murderer?”

“She betrayed her own sister for cash. What makes you think she won’t do the same to her own kids someday?”

Brittany questioned, her tone laced with disappointment.

Benedict raised an eyebrow. “A murderer, huh?

“If you’re going to throw around accusations like that, you better back it up with proof. Otherwise, I’ll see you in court for slander.”

Brittany visibly paled at that.

Nathan, though, was not ready to give up. “The proof’s gone because Leilani destroyed it herself!” he barked.

Benedict chuckled.

“So basically, you’ve got nothing and still came here to stir up drama?”

“I … ” Nathan’s face turned crimson, too furious to come up with a comeback.

Benedict had clearly had enough. He waved his hand, “Get them out of here.”

The security team moved in quickly.

No matter how Brittany and Nathan yelled and squirmed, they were dragged toward the exit.

However, just as they were about to be tossed out, Brittany suddenly screamed, “I have proof!

“I can prove Leilani is a murderer!”

She tore away from the guards and bolted right in front of us.

Her eyes locked onto mine, wild and determined. “Lani,” she said breathlessly, “I tried to protect you. I really did. That’s why I kept quiet all this time.

“But since you’re still out here pretending and hurting people-don’t blame me for exposing the truth.”

She spun toward Benedict. “Mr. White, you remember the accident that killed the kids’ foster mother, right?

“That wasn’t just an accident. It was planned.”

“It was her!” Brittany pointed straight at me. “She drugged her sister with sleeping pills. When she was groggy and out of it, she went driving and ended up crashing.

“She made sure the body was cremated quickly before anyone could investigate.”

The moment those words hit, a chill ran down my spine.

Even though I knew Brittany was full of it, her words still made my stomach twist.

She sounded too convincing. Like she was not just bluffing, but actually knew something terrifying.

And then a chilling thought crept into my mind.

What if my sister’s death really was not just an accident?

My gaze snapped toward Brittany, sharp as a blade.

A gut instinct hit me. Something about her and Nathan did not sit right.

My mind started racing, piecing together moments from my past life like a jigsaw puzzle.

My sister’s so-called accident … The quintuplets being dumped at the orphanage … The car- my sister’s car-that she had crashed in…

Wait.

That car.

Back then, after giving the kids away, I could not bear to look at the vehicle that took my sister’s life.

I figured I would sell it and close that chapter for good.

However, when I mentioned it, Brittany showed up out of nowhere and freaked out.

She begged me not to sell it, saying it was the only thing left of my sister.

I did not budge.

So, in the end, she suddenly offered to take it herself.

Because we were friends, I did not even charge her. Instead, I just handed it over.

Now it all makes sense. There must be something wrong with the car!
