On Our Wedding Day, He Married Someone Else Chapter 04

Silas and Marnie’s wedding went ahead as planned.

“Corinne, Marnie’s gown is out of place.”

Silas shot me a look.

I did my duty as a bridesmaid, kneeling to fix her gown, my heart growing darker.

The wedding was huge.

Silas invited everyone we knew.

He wanted the whole world to know he’d married the woman he loved.

Some old classmates were in the crowd.

They whispered in shock when they saw Silas and Marnie.

“Everyone knew Silas loved Corinne. How could he marry Marnie?”

“Marnie’s mom was a homewrecker. Like mother, like daughter.”

Silas gently smoothed Marnie’s forehead and waved me over.

“Say what I taught you. Tell everyone I only saw you as a sister.”

“Say I loved Marnie all along, that we never dated. She’s my real girlfriend.”

“Then wish us well.”

He seemed to sense his own cruelty. He averted his gaze and spoke quietly.

“It’s just for show. After Marnie has the baby, I’ll give you anything you want.”

“Just do this for me.”

I gripped the microphone and stepped to the center.

I forced myself to smile, keeping my expression polite and gentle.

“Everyone, before we start, I need to clear something up.”

“Many of you think Marnie ruined my relationship with Silas, that she’s a homewrecker. And I’m here to say—”

I stared hard at Marnie, grinning lighter than I had in years.

“It’s all true! Marnie is a shameless homewrecker. Her mom destroyed my parents’ marriage, and she ruined mine. A homewrecker is always a homewrecker, no matter how you lie about it!”

Contempt burned into Marnie from every direction.

Her eyes turned red-rimmed. She bent over weakly, clutching her belly.

“Silas… my belly hurts.”

Silas roared in furry, grabbing my neck from behind, squeezing so hard I could barely breathe.

“Corinne Shaw, what did you promise? You know she’s pregnant, and you still hurt her. Are you that evil?”

Silas threw me to the ground in disgust.

He took a deep breath and pulled up a video on his phone, projecting it onto the big screen.

The footage was old and blurry.

But classmates recognized the girl under the coach right away.

It was Corinne.

“See this? This is the kind of girl Corinne is. She even hit on her coach. Why would I ever love her?”

“My real girlfriend has always been Marnie. Neither she nor her mom are homewreckers.”

“It was all a lie from Corinne and her mom. They couldn’t keep a man, so they made up stories to ruin us.”

“We’re legally married. Look for yourselves.”

Two marriage licenses glinted under the chandelier, bright and cruel.

Everyone stared at me.

Disgust. Annoyance. Contempt. The same looks I’d gotten in high school.

But this time, no boy would pull me out of hell.

This time, he was the one who pushed me in.

“Silas… I don’t think I can wait for you anymore.”

I slowly drew out the blade concealed beneath my clothes. Pressing the sharp tip to my body, I shut my eyes tightly.

“Corinne!”

Someone screamed, but I couldn’t tell who.

The sharp pain never came.

A gust of wind rushed in and ripped the knife from my hand.

I opened my eyes in shock, chilled to the bone by what I saw.

A young boy held the blade, and it was buried deep in Silas’s chest.

Silas stared at his young face, whispering in horror.

“Who are you?”
