I looked at her with open contempt.

“Claire, are you not hearing me?

I nodded toward Lucas. He was sitting there pale and trembling all over.

Claire wheeled herself over, grabbed Lucas by the hair, and yanked his head back.

Lucas looked up with a broken smile.

“Only Emma knew how to perform the surgery that could make you walk again.

“You already missed the best treatment window. Even if someone else eventually figures it out, it’ll be too late for you.”

“You even uploaded the video of Seren being raped and let people tear apart her name after she was dead. You destroyed her dignity. You destroyed her reputation.

“Claire, every bit of this is something you brought on yourself.”

Her head stopped moving.

Her whole body shook, but she could not say a single word.

The people around us exploded in outrage.

“Holy shit. So they staged this whole thing? Dr. Carter was the real victim the entire time.”

“She was such a good doctor. Those two are disgusting. And now this bitch will never walk again? Good. She deserves it.”

I couldn’t hold it in anymore. Tears slipped down my face.

In the end. Claire dragged herself toward Lucas despite her injuries and stabbed him again and again.
