My Wedding Was Ruined By A Fake DNA Result Chapter 06

The bed was clean. Like I’d never even been there.

He remembered the gurney. The color drained from his face.

He ran out, grabbed a janitor by the arm. “Where’s the patient from this room?!”

The janitor winced – but when he saw the look on Hudson’s face, he didn’t fight back.

“Nobody’s here… probably discharged…”

Hudson exhaled – relieved. He let go.

The janitor hurried away, muttering curses under his breath.

“…Crazy guy. How should I know where she went… either discharged or dead…”

Hudson sat on the bench outside. Dazed. Muttering to himself.

“Little liar… always lying…”

He opened our chat history. The last message was from five months ago. The day I was first diagnosed.

“Brother – I’m at the hospital. Can you come?”

I was terrified that day. I didn’t know the truth yet. I thought the Hales hated me didn’t dare tell them. Scrolled through my entire contact list. Found no one to call.

It took me half an hour to work up the courage to send that message.

He never replied.

What was he doing then? Buying Serena bubble tea.

Hudson stared at that message. I don’t know what he was thinking.

His fingers moved. He typed: “Where are you?”

Then deleted it – one letter at a time.

He covered his face. His breathing quickened.

A moment later, he typed again: *”You were lying to us, weren’t you? Faye – can you stop being such a liar?”*

He thought I’d do what I always did. Deny. Explain. Chase after him with excuses.

But this time the other side was silent.

Brother I’ll never reply again.

Aren’t you happy?

Until evening, the chat box between me and my brother remained quiet and peaceful. His expression grew

darker and darker.

When he discovered that I still hadn’t replied to him by evening, my brother got angry.

Julian, who had finished work, came over to see Serena and noticed my brother’s low mood.

“What’s wrong?” My brother didn’t say anything. He only told him to go inside and see Serena. Julian frowned

and didn’t go in.

“Is it related to Faye? Did she come make trouble with you because of the photos? Those photos I’ve already

had people take down. Originally it was just to scare her.”

Julian spoke of it lightly.

He would never know the despair and helplessness I felt at the moment I saw my own photos being

auctioned.

My brother opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but had no clue at all.

He looked at Julian for a long while and opened his mouth with a bit of warning meaning.

“Since you already have Serena, don’t provoke Faye anymore. That night, when you went out from the private lounge, it wasn’t to smoke. It was because you wanted to check on Faye, right?”
