My Wedding Was Ruined By A Fake DNA Result Chapter 07

Julian hung his head. I drifted closer and clearly caught the sadness that flashed through his eyes – but it

vanished in an instant.

I thought I had seen wrong.

The next second, Julian pushed the door open and walked in.

I followed my brother floating back home.

Nothing in the house had changed, yet everything seemed different. The blue-and-white curtains I liked had been replaced by the peach-pink ones Serena preferred.

The Blue Fatty slippers that used to belong to me by the door had long since disappeared. What surprised me was that my room was still kept, and the things inside remained unchanged.

I had thought that after I moved out, Serena would move into my room.

The tension in the house grew thicker by the day.

Hudson kept pulling out his phone, staring at our chat history – like he was waiting for something.

Three days passed. I never replied.

My mother grew restless too.

At dinner, she finally broke. “Vivian… has she answered you yet?”

“That day her phone called me five times. I missed all of them. I tried calling back – no one picked up.”

My father set down his chopsticks, face heavy.

Serena’s eyes flickered. A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth – barely there.

“Mom, Dad – don’t worry. Vivian probably knows you’re worried, so she’s hiding. Honestly, this is better than

how she used to act throwing huge tantrums. She’s improving.”

Hudson dropped his phone on the table. Maybe he believed her. Maybe he just needed to believe something.

He laughed coldly. “Fine. Forget her. Next time she reaches out, I won’t answer either.”

My mother’s fingers tightened around her chopsticks. She didn’t say anything more.

That night, my mother came into my room. Sat on my bed. Stayed there for a long time.

She sighed helpless.

“Vivian. If you’ll just change – I’ll bring you home. Okay?”

I floated beside her, watching her red-rimmed eyes. I wanted to ask her:

What did Vivian do wrong? What does she need to change?

Mom – you never believed me. You never heard my side.

I know I was never as sweet-tongued as Serena. After I brought her home, she always knew how to make you

laugh. Always said exactly what you wanted to hear.

But we share the same blood. Don’t we?

Why would you trust a stranger over your own daughter?

I never got to ask those questions.

Two weeks passed. The house grew heavier.

Hudson’s face got worse every day.

He called me eight times. I didn’t answer any of them.

My father sent me a text – for the first time in years.

“Vivian. Where are you?”

No reply.

Another two weeks. My number was disconnected.

The family panicked.

Julian burst through the door, fist connecting with Hudson’s face.

“Hudson Hale – is this how you take care of your sister?! If I hadn’t been with Serena at her prenatal checkup, I never would’ve known -”
