My Three Roommates Used My Photos to Catfish Three Elite Alphas Chapter 03

The moment I heard what the person on the other end of the call said, tears spilled from my eyes.

The hospital had informed me that my mother’s outstanding treatment bill had to be paid that day. Otherwise, they would discharge her.

I hung up and stopped pretending. I didn’t even have time to speak to the manager before turning around and rushing outside.

Ethan followed me.

He raised his hand as though he wanted to wipe away my tears, but stopped before touching me.

I didn’t give him the chance to pull his hand back.

I grabbed it instead.

“Sir, do you have a car?”

“It’s hard to get a ride here on such short notice. Could you take me to the medical center?”

Ethan looked down at my hand gripping his. After a moment of silence, he nodded.

I couldn’t stop crying during the drive.

Keeping his eyes on the road, Ethan handed me a tissue.

“What happened? Maybe I can help.”

I hesitated, then shook my head.

“We don’t even know each other. I’m already grateful that you’re willing to drive me to the hospital.”

His voice softened slightly.

“It is fine. I help people once in a while.”

My cheeks grew warm. After hesitating for a moment, I asked quietly, “Then could you lend me some money?”

“I’ll write you an IOU, and I promise I’ll pay you back.”

My mother had been diagnosed with acute leukemia the year before. Because she had been exposed to silver when she was young, her werewolf healing ability had almost completely failed.

She needed long-term hospitalization and chemotherapy.

The hospital had just given me a final warning. If I couldn’t pay the full amount that day, she would be discharged.

When I saw Ethan frown, I lowered my eyes and said nothing else.

The comments had already told me that the entire life story Vanessa had fed Ethan was stolen directly from mine.

My father had died young. My mother was seriously ill. We had always struggled financially, yet even when life was hard, I insisted on supporting myself.

Vanessa had used those stories to get a fortune from Ethan.

Now the same face and the same life story had appeared on a completely different woman.

If Ethan still couldn’t figure out what was happening, then he had no business becoming the heir to his pack.

After a long silence, he finally asked hoarsely, “You’ve really never heard the username ‘Northern Gray Wolf’?”

I tilted my head and pretended to search my memory.

“No, but it does sound a little familiar. I think one of my roommates might have mentioned it.”

Ethan didn’t say another word for the rest of the drive.

When we reached the hospital’s billing desk, he paid one million dollars directly into my mother’s hospital account.

With that money, she would no longer be forced to leave the hospital. She was immediately transferred to a better private room.

I sat beside her bed and watched her sleep peacefully. At last, the tension drained from my body.

Then I sent a hundred dollars to the actor I’d hired to make the phone call.

Exposing Vanessa today had only been a secondary goal.

What truly mattered was paying for my mother’s treatment.

Once everything had been settled, I looked at the comments again.

[Has this supporting female character lost her mind? Everything she has done has completely ruined the heroine’s plans.]

[Ethan has stopped replying to Vanessa’s messages. Vanessa is now blaming Sophia, saying her idea ruined everything.]

[No one has ever treated the heroine like this before. It’s infuriating!]
