Walking home, I overheard some kids from school talking. Apparently, the school bully had caught feelings recently.

“You hear? A guy that tall, and he’s using a little bear pen. How cute is that?”

“For real. Dude’s never looked at anyone before. Now he’s a total mess.”

“Past two years, so many people threw themselves at him. Girls got rejected. Guys got beat. Now he’s all lovestruck and completely embarrassing.”

I listened hard but never caught a name.

The next day, I told Orion all about it.

“Do you know who the school bully is?” I blinked at him.

Orion’s eye twitched. “Why do you want to know?”

I chewed my pen, thinking. “If we know who he is, we can avoid him.”

Orion looked like he wanted to say something but couldn’t quite get it out. Probably even a bottom-tier softie like him had no clue who the bully was.

I patted his shoulder to comfort him. “It’s okay if you don’t know. I heard he’s in love right now. He’ll be in a good mood. Probably won’t bully us.”

Orion broke into a violent coughing fit.

Poor guy. Just hearing about the school bully terrified him.
