My Ex Thought I Still Loved Him, I Was Already Married Rich Chapter 17

Julian instinctively glanced at me.

There was actually a hint of panic in his expression.

The next second, he strode quickly toward me.

“Nora, don’t misunderstand.”

“She’s my cousin.”

“She’s getting married soon. I’m just here with her while she tries on dresses.”

I froze for a moment.

Then I could not help laughing.

“Julian, how many special girls do you have in your life? And what does any of that have to do with me?”

His face turned slightly pale.

But I was already too tired to keep looking at him.

“Can you leave? I’m about to start trying on dresses.”

The sales associate beside us looked awkward too.

“Mr. Shaw, perhaps you should…”

But Julian seemed not to hear her at all.

His gaze fell on the ceremony gowns nearby.

His face grew paler and paler.

Especially when he saw one of the mermaid gowns, his eyes turned red.

I looked at that gown and remembered too.

When we were preparing for our wedding back then, the main dress I had chosen had looked similar to that one.

I pointed at the mermaid gown and told the sales associate, “Not this one. I’ll try the other two.”

Julian spoke with difficulty.

“I heard that you and Adrian are planning to have a wedding in New York.”

I touched the lace on the skirt.

“Good. Then get the hell out and stop ruining my mood.”

I knew my words were harsh.

I knew Julian would be hurt.

But I did not care.

I turned and entered the fitting room, too lazy to deal with him anymore.

But I had not expected Julian to have become so shameless.

He actually followed me in.

Then he locked the door behind him.

The man moved toward me step by step.

I instinctively backed away.

Soon, my back hit the cold wall.

Julian braced his hands on either side of me, trapping me between his body and the wall.

That familiar cool, woody scent washed over me, but all I felt was irritation.

“Are you insane? Get out.”

Julian seemed not to hear me.

He lowered his head and stared at me, the emotions in his eyes terrifyingly restrained.

“Nora, is there really no chance for us anymore?”

The fact that he could even ask that felt absurd.

“Julian, I’m married.”

His throat moved hard, and his voice turned hoarse.

“So what?”

I almost laughed in anger.

“What? Do you want to be my secret side piece?”

The words had barely left my mouth when Julian blurted out, “Why couldn’t I?”
